Great! Janne what is your spelling of this word?
I was very tempted to spell the word with out any
vowels in it. ie: Fryjh....

It's not my spelling:)
She has so many names.
In Swedish its Freja, Frigga, and perhaps some others...
Frigga you have to know.
Friday is her day. Yes today.

TGIF.

Frøyja is a very good name for a cat. Or dog or cow.
Her Brother Frö means seed:)

There is a problem though.
The Finnish and Swedish characters å/ä/ö.
They are very important here and its not cosmetic.
No. They are even words here.
For instance:
Ã¥ is a small river.
ö is an island.

Years ago I had met a man from the Norwegian
air force, and he was convinced that an
English speaking Canadian could not pronounce
any words in his language properly.
He would not give me any words to try
to repeat. I just don't have a lot of experience
with any of your Scandinavian culture.

@Ian, I can make up for that.

@Gary I never had a goffer problem in any of the places I lived at. Met a Mole once. It was in the middle of the road and I moved it back to the creek rim.
The population of squirrels is exploding at the Swenson Golf Couse, so are the road kill ones. Sad, as people should drive slow enough to be able to break or avoid them in time, since it also a School Zone. 25 mph.

No Gophers or Moles live here. Though the area does have Ground Squirrels.

I thought it was only the Far East that used symbols for words?

Some people use symbols for cats...or at least cartoons.

HeHeHe.
I told you the old norse was very pragmatic.
Do you know how long time it takes to carve runes or cut runes in stone?
From the beginning we didnt have wovels. Like ancient Egypt.
Later we learnt that wovels was a good thing.
But only a few languages have lots of diftongs, France, Britain?
Beaucoup, eau :)
Eau means water in Frensh. Here it could mean Ã….
But why so difficult Spelling rules in English and frensh?
In Italian.
For instance Ceasar should and are pronounced Kaisar not seesar:)
And Chianti are pronounced Kianti.

What happens if you turn your hose on and stick it in a
gopher hole? Will it chase out the gophers? I imagine it
would only be a temporary fix, though.

Just curious.

Depends. If the gopher is near a exit. Or it might not make it out at all. Just be careful the exit is not the hole the hose is in.

The hose would flood any gopher tunnels, Dad used this method and a shovel to kill any that emerged, it worked.

They is no humane way to clear out gophers!

Regardless of how you do it, the little animals
are going to notice what is done to them. In the
next province over from us they vacuum them out of
the ground. Oh, there is no catch and release program!

I thought chipmunks were part of the squirrel family.
Gophers are related to moles.
