I do not plan to make friends with either the skunk or the dog.

I have heard of this too, despite the fact that skunks are particularly prone to rabies. I'm not sure it is legal in all states. Even with regular rabies shots for the skunk, I still would not want a de-scented skunk as a pet because I do not think they are smart enough to be litter box trained. If any Critter Cafe readers have "indoor skunks", please let me know if this is a correct assumption.

I found this on a Bing search here Angela.

So the answer to my question "Can skunks be housebroken?" is essentially "No, but they might get it right just often enough to keep you hoping they can be housebroken."

I'll stick to outside skunks, thank you!!!

I thought all varieties of squirrel nibbled on nuts......
Or seeds, which are kinda like a nut.

It looks like I'll be able to get some help with My mobile home soon, the CAPSBC(Community Action Partnership of San Bernardino County). There's No money here for Me, just improvements that help to conserve electricity, gas and water.

The guy from the CAPSBC was out here and I printed out a bank statement showing where My income came from and signed/initialed this and that form, He made a copy of My property tax bill(to show that I owned the mobile home), I may be able to get a new a/c unit, as well as the doors and windows, but I have to call in mid April, since cooling season isn't quite here yet, though 90F temps are on the way, should be here by Friedday and yes I'll be fried alright. There was even talk of a new clothes washer, since that would wring more water out of the clothes He said(not to mention use less H2O in the first place), and therefore result in less gas being used in the clothes dryer(both clothes washer & dryer are over a decade old). In any case I have the guys phone number, He also left behind some booklets and such, some with 'Southwest Gas' printed here and there. So now it's just wait and see, outside of the 1 call that is. This is a public/private partnership at work. I'll see what happens next.
