Apparently the picture is not clickable.

Is that black on the white cables because of tear and wear?

Using the mouse over, It looks like degraded foam, there's also a broken off piece sitting on the floor of the case.

May not ship to Russian Federation - Read item description or contact seller for shipping options.

I'm out then :P
Maybe add my old netbook too as "one where OpenCL SETI apps were developed", LoL. Will not ship to USA though :P

With the whole American and European boycott of Russian goods, and the Russian boycott of European and American goods, I doubt you can ship it anywhere other than Russia and Iran. ;-)

While I've always longed for a Sun the thought of carrying one from the far coast of the USA in my hand baggage is "a bit scary".

Though the looks at airport security could be well worth the effort ;-)

LoL, real SETI experts and collectors are found the way :P

P.S. Perhaps your centric view needs some correction. Where REAL population lies: India and China, not west altogether ;) Just FYI :P

P.P.S. And in view of this fact I would recommend to place Berkeley's offer not on eBay but on Ali-baba instead - much wider coverage, LoL :P

Always found that a weird point of view from a Russian, to say that America is the West: it borders to Russia on the east.

ROFL, Russia extends on so many meridians that we should have different views of America, depending from what side of country you look ;)
Usually we look from Moscow and follow original direction of pioneers. Hence, the west. And yep, sometimes still wild west, LoL ;)

Actually terms east and west in this context belongs to culture's style mostly, not direction per se. There is "west" culture and "east" culture, roughly (some time very roughly, but still there is).

How about because Russia is in the eastern hemisphere and America is in the western?

Nope, too simple ;) Besides EU in the same hemisphere how we would designate them then? :D

If you do buy it and want to ship it, I wouldn't suggest FedEx!

I suspect it's not the problem it once was but years ago we needed to ship one of our units out of the country and because it had z80 processors in it, we needed to fill out a mess of government paper work to reassure the government we weren't shipping military hardware out of the country to an unfriendly country. It was complicated for us because our units are multi processor in order to get the horse power we needed. On the other hand, all the software is produced in house and would be of little use for any application other than running our unit.

I can do you one better.

I worked for a company in Canada 15 years ago. We imported a half dozen desktop and monitors from the US with no problem. Loaded and tested our SCADA (System Control and Data Acquisition) software on the Windows based system. When we shipped the units back to a utility company in California we had no problem with the software, but, had to supply US border control with the origin of all components in the systems. So much for free trade.

EDIT
What fascinates me is that we were capable to remote in and update the software and in theory take down the entire power grid but they were more worried that there was no component from a manufacturer they had an embargo on.

Hi Raistmer,

Well, historically speaking the Russe, are 'suposed' to be ex-pat Scandinavians:-)

Who apparently decided that sailing up river to the east was a worthwhile trading venture, must have worked out ok, they stay'd to become part of Russia.

Them Thar Vikings got to just about everywhere:-) Including my homeland of Northumbria..

Guess that makes a lot of folks related in a way..

I would not comment any "theories of origins" in more or less respectable forums especially taking into account how weird such theories became in past few months... (who in course that knows about what am I).

So where's the listing on eBay showing how much each rig went for? I wanted to see the bids and results! I'd been waiting to see how Sagan went for. All three auctions are gone. Never have seen that before.

Please?

:-)
