I have seen a few sprinkles, but nothing substantial lately.

This area did have some rain, about 1 and 2 weeks back, but none since.

California passed a $7.5 Billion water bond in Nov 2014 to help with the water shortage here and to prepare for the rains that will come that will be too warm to make snow. More info about Prop1 can be found Here.

The largest sums of money set aside include $2.7 billion for water storage, potentially reservoirs

I can imagine that someone dumb and stupid could say that 'bright yellow orb is a liberal plot'..

Note I'm a liberal, as is that liberal document, the US Constitution..

I still need to buy a weather station for my backyard. I've had a couple good suggestions for units, and I plan to get that up and running this summer. My main concern is the logistics in getting something significantly high enough and sturdy that can support the anemometer.

54°F/12°C, rain. Forecast, through Tuesday: Up to approx. 3in., max.

Things should green up a bit better, and pollen get flushed out of
the air -- as well as off my car.
