I am going to remain mute on just why you should get a discount on your electric bill and I pay top rates.
I will get in trouble with the mods if I expound on my opinions about that.

Enjoy your free air conditioning.
I pay for mine.

Cause I'm very low income and cause I live in California, the rate would be only $0.0375 a KWH without any CARE discount and this comes from the local energy utilities, not from the state government.

Oh and I do pay My electric bills and taxes, the electricity in CA is not from Coal, but then renewables sources have come down in prices, due to huge investments worldwide in solar, solar thermal and wind power. Coal is declining cause the mines are being mined out and for other very important reasons.

The only thing FREE here is the air, some decry a loss of what they call FREEDOM, of course that is really a loss of Power over others...

Uhh... my income come from the work I do, and I take a bit of umbrage when one boasts about what they get for free.

It has always been a bit of an issue for me, Vic.

You boast about buying computer bits, but then whine about your financial situation.

More rain and flooding expected today...

Intense rain causes flooding across DFW
DALLAS - A line of thunderstorms stalled while passing over North Texas overnight, dropping as much as 7 inches of rain in some areas. Streets flooded, vehicles became trapped and water seeped into homes.

Even the police had to be rescued from the flooding this morning!

Time to build me an ark!

Well hopefully when it's our turn out of drought, some extra capacity will have been built, both above ground and underground to refill the aquifers.

Zero rain here this month, I wish we could get something called rain here.

While in the meantime Texas and Oklahoma are getting insane amounts of rain, enough in the Dallas area to cover the entire state of Rhode Island in 10' of water... For California, that water would be enough for 1.5 to 2 years according to the Weather Channel.
