I have to figure out how to repair my swamp cooler.

All 3 bolts that hold the motor on have sheared off from long use.

I'm pretty much in the same boat Arkayn, self tapping screws were used to repair that here, now I just need New 1" bearings, a new 1/3hp cooler motor and a 7000 offset water pump.

Last night they predicted lake effect snow. They did NOT predict that it would reach 30 miles out! But it did. Not a whole lot, just enough light and fluffy to be annoying.

A chilly start to the day here at 1C, -2C with windchill, with another very thick fog (which has finally just left).

23C is the expected max.

Cheers.

The max daytime temp here was 90F/32C here, now the temp is 80F/27C outside, inside the temp is now down to 89F, from a high of 92F, I had the PC in sleep mode until 8pm and I now have 4 windows open, I opened My bedroom window today. The paperwork for an air conditioner with a thermostat has been submitted, if I can't get one then I'll have to wait until the 1st to buy the parts I need to try and repair the cooler and the repairs would have to wait until after the 15th, cause the guy doing the repairs works for the park, they come 1st, anyone else comes after. I don't have any choice, I'm broke until the 1st. And I know Grace is not happy, but what can I do? I've done all I can already.

Predicted temps:

Sat 94F/34C
Sun 90F/32C
Mon 92F/33C
Tue 89F/32C
Wed 83F/28C
Thu 80F/27C
Fri 81F/27C

I could use 4 days worth of cool air, I've got 4 windows open and still no way to keep the air cool, yesterday temps in here was 92F for both Grace and Me and she kept begging for cool air, when I have none, it was 90F outside on Friday...

I did find a SPT 12000 btu window a/c unit at Home Depot that would fit My window, for $329.00($355.32 w/tax.), remove the side extensions and the a/c unit would fit, maybe this could be something My contact could get, I'm calling him today and if needed leaving a message.

Predicted high Saturday: 94F/34C
Predicted high Sunday: 91F/33C
Predicted high Monday: 92F/33C
Predicted high Tuesday: 89F/32C

It turns out My contact submitted the paperwork and has no idea when any a/c will be installed or where they get their stuff from, I'm advised to hold tight.

All I can do is hope for cooler temps outside today, fat chance I know..

33°F/1°C, light snow. NOAA says fog/mist in store; 1-2 inches forcast.

Redwing blackbirds took one look, and disappeared. Still have hopes for Spring.

No rain here, drat and double drat. But 90F is predicted for today, currently the temp outside is 60F. Inside the temp is 76F, cause My PC is still crunching, at least until 7am, which is in about 17 mins.
