The gas heater is working perfectly, even in a HARD COLD Freeze of 27F/-3C, the heater stays on for about 5-7 minutes, then turns off for a time before repeating, better than the 15 minutes the gas heater used to take to heat the house. 6 mins this time, perfect.

Message 1622434 - Posted: 2 Jan 2015, 17:45:15 UTC - in response to Message 1622143.

This cold weather is pissing me off as my water pipe is still not buried completely and I keep losing my water pressure.

I would keep a low flow out the tap to make sure it would (not) freeze.

That is what I do, I just have a trickle out of a bathroom faucet to prevent some of My pipes from freezing, a faucet at the farthest point from where the water enters My piping.

Imagine my surprise this morning when I checked the water meter and found it turned completely off.

I normally do keep a tap open, but forgot on our winter snowstorm day.

Luckily I no longer have the broken main leaking 7500 gallons a month.

7500 gallons is a fair leak, I fixed enough of them in one year helping a plumber.
Cheers everybody

Grace was a cat who'd become a stray cat, cause of the great recession, so even though She loves Me and what I provide, She still longs to go out and roam at will, though She'll never have kittens, She was altered before the shelter and I got Her.

this week!

Well yeah, if you ignore the Date Palm, scooters, and Greek graffiti ;)

New Year thread appears to have an ultra-short deadline so:

Happy New Year everyone!!!:)

Clouded over, a chilly 3°C and spots of rain. Forecast says the rain will stop but it'll get chillier for Sunday.
