I haven't let the car run out of gas. I'm trying to get a fill-up, and the gas station has let it's tanks run dry. Good-bye SETI, it's been fun You could of cause make sure your computers are doing or are capable of doing Astropulse_v7 work, there is well not plenty of it about, there is enough to keep hosts satisfied (100 tasks per device goes a long way for all but the fastest hosts). Host 7053808, only ever done one APv7 task: Application details for host 7053808 Host 7022541, has never done any APv7, probably doesn't even have it in it's app_info: Application details for host 7022541 Host 7359113 has only ever done CPU APv7, probably doesn't have the GPU APv7 app in it's app_info: Application details for host 7359113 Host 7317808 has done 9 CPU APv7 tasks, But it's incapable of doing APv7 on the Intel HD Graphics 4000 because the drivers are too old: Application details for host 7317808 You should be able to run an OpenCL 1.2 driver up until 10.18.10.3621, the direct url for it is here: http://downloadmirror.intel.com/23885/a08/win64_153322.zip Claggy |

Does it occur to anyone that maybe subspace communication and warp drives don't emit any spurious radio frequency energy, at least on the frequencies that S@H is searching? Maybe the Vogon constructor fleet is preparing to level our solar system to install a hyperspace bypass RIGHT NOW and we don't know a thing about it. (sigh) Member of the 20 Year Club |

let's push the probabilty drive button and see what happens . "The probabilty of the Vogan preparing to destroy Earth to put a hyperspace bypass through is 99.9999999999999999999999% , but Earth will never know as Seti the project assigned to find E.T's was shut down in 2014 though lack of enthusiasm one new years eve when the bosses at Seti got feed up with all the whinging and said to hell with it let the Vogans build there hyperspace bypass that will stop them whinging " |

And it was 3:30am all day yesterday ? This issue has been building the past few days. Easily time enough for someone to at least begin studying the issue and put out a status. Again, all we hear is crickets. And don't even start about how this is a holiday week. When people are out, you arrange to have coverage. Now as I believe all in the lab work part time that last line might just be difficult and is not necessary. SETI is run on a shoestring as most realise. We crunch the data when it is available, and when it isn't we crunch for other projects or we shut our machines down and save electricity. I personally would not expect anyone to be in the lab before next Monday. Most people here are hopefully happy with that, if not OK go ahead and moan Happy New Year. |

You could of cause make sure your computers are doing or are capable of doing Astropulse_v7 work, there is well not plenty of it about, there is enough to keep hosts satisfied Too bad the Macs can't get any where close to that 100 per device. Looks as though they are still being strangled. I had to giggle at all those CPU tasks that are showing up. They must have turned on Use CPU hoping they might get more tasks. Now they are getting mostly CPU tasks; http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=7237623&offset=0&show_names=0&state=0&appid=20 http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=7285978&offset=0&show_names=0&state=0&appid=20 http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=7276096&offset=0&show_names=0&state=0&appid=20 http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=7242334&offset=0&show_names=0&state=0&appid=20 http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=2991797&offset=0&show_names=0&state=0&appid=20 http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=7309734&offset=0&show_names=0&state=0&appid=20 http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=3265309&offset=0&show_names=0&state=0&appid=20 http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=7337211&offset=0&show_names=0&state=0&appid=20 http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=6797736&offset=0&show_names=0&state=0&appid=20 http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=6157711&offset=0&show_names=0&state=0&appid=20 http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=5754631&offset=0&show_names=0&state=0&appid=20 *snicker* That's about the same as with my machine. I even tried running Stock, doesn't help. In fact it's worse. I even went down to one card, just to see if it would help...it doesn't. I went to stock late yesterday and reduced the cards, this is what has happened since, http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=6796479 Not much going on there, is there. I moved the cards to the Windows machine that Still has 165 APs left out of the 250 it had. Strange how my 2 Windows machines can grab 250 a piece while my Mac gets at most ~20. Something is seriously wrong with this scenario. |

Tbar it's a MAC mate hehehehhehehehe Yep, in fact, it's this Mac; Seemed to work fine before the DB Explosion. That was with it running Out of Work every few days. Imagine if it was fed a steady diet. The current situation is ridiculous. 250 for my 2 Windows hosts, 20 for my Mac? |

well it will probably fix it's self when they get all the other gremlins fixed then . Seeing as not many have been able to fill there buffers much lately . Mite just have to wait and see mate . I know a few people with windows have run out and arn't even getting enough to keep there machines going so i don't think it's just the MAC's . Just a p/a time for things to keep going wrong what with x-mas and now new years . |

Time to grab your towel: according to the server status page all AP splitters are now 'Not Running'. Tom |

Time to grab your towel: according to the server status page all AP splitters are now 'Not Running'. Well, it seems that Tuesday Outrage is on move :) "Please keep Your signature under four lines so Internet traffic doesn't go up too much" - In 1992 when I had my first e-mail address - |

Edit: For some strange reason it's much easier to get AP CPU tasks, than AP GPU tasks. That just doesn't make sense, since there are no specific CPU or GPU tasks. Things haven't run normal since Nov 1 or so, even the days where there's work it still haven't been running nowhere like before Nov 1. There's been big database problems but that WAS fixed, wasn't it? So where's the problem I wonder. |

Time to grab your towel: according to the server status page all AP splitters are now 'Not Running'. I guess I'm on the lucky list...... State: All (1186) · In progress (246) · Validation pending (185) · Validation inconclusive (9) · Valid (746) · Invalid (0) · Error (0) Application: All (1186) · AstroPulse v6 (4) · AstroPulse v7 (980) · SETI@home Enhanced (0) · SETI@home v7 (202) That's between 2 Win 8.1 machines without manually jogging the updater...Only difference to stock is running Lunatics .43 installer with 0.33 as the GPU value. Time to grab your towel: according to the server status page all AP splitters are now 'Not Running'. It also depends on your processing speed, my fastest hosts has run of long ago, it didn't even get half the GPUs allowed when it was highest, my slowest host has just about my 10 days cache. |

It also depends on your processing speed, my fastest hosts has run of long ago, it didn't even get half the GPUs allowed when it was highest, my slowest host has just about my 10 days cache. I understand, I don't overclock to preserve the lifespan of the processors and I can't afford a Dual Xenon 6 core server with 360 GB memory and 12 Video cards. But I think the average cruncher should be satisfied with the workload furnished. Those with Hyper Light Speed processors should limit the number of processing threads used to less than 100% to match the workflow received. Just a suggestion to reduce frustration with SETI's inherent problems caused mostly by lack of funding. :D ;G "Sour Grapes make a bitter Whine." <(0)> |

Thought the problem was database/server crashing left and right and not funding was the course of the last 2 months problems. |

Thought the problem was database/server crashing left and right and not funding was the course of the last 2 months problems. Only half true. If they had more funds we would already crunch data from GBT probably. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |
