I can't stand on my head and i haven't had a smoke now for over 10 days maybe that's the problem na i'm genuinely getting peed off Eight months this week, after 45 years on... So to stay on topic, is it my imagination or are all AP channels getting split now erroring out? |

Eric posted in News that Marvin is down. Yes, let please stay on topic. Don't want those mods coming down on us. Looks like maybe Monday. He says he'll try to remote in but worst cause it's Monday when someone can look at it and try to figure out what happen. Well they say trouble always comes in 3's Hopefully this will be it and we start off the New Year right. :) Happy Crunching.... Zalster |

So to stay on topic, is it my imagination or are all AP channels getting split now erroring out? Add to that & Marvin crashing, MB splitter output has almost halved, and the ready-to-send buffer is heading for zero at a rapid rate. Grant Darwin NT |

SSP has updated, now there are no AP channels that have ended in error. And while it shows 7 PFB splitters as running, it also shows only 3 channels being split. Hence the rapidly diminishing amount of work ready to send. Add that to the AP assimilators that haven't been up since, the initial crash? Grant Darwin NT |

Eric posted in News that Marvin is down. The Acme ton of bricks got returned due to not functioning as required :) In other news I've managed to fill up on astros so should be good for a while. It is a bit sad that the folks in the lab seem to be having to deal with one thing after another having woes, especially at this time of year. Another 4 AP channels ended in error (at least until the next SSP update clears them). Grant Darwin NT |

Oh joy. A shorty tape (23oc14aa), just while we're in the middle of coping with everything else. No tasks - no tasks - no tasks ... 36 tasks. |

I just dumped some 30 inconclusives back into the fray. When you have an AMD GPU and you see "Display driver amdkmdap stopped responding and has successfully recovered." take note that just exiting and restarting BOINC does not fix this! I did and all work in cache is now reported with run times of 15 - 25 seconds. Yeah, bust. Rebooted the system. New work (2) is past the 25 second mark already, so my reboot fixed that GPU driver problem. I promise that for the next hours I won't play with Google Earth anymore. :) And yep, back to: 21/12/2014 15:45:20 | SETI@home | Requesting new tasks for AMD/ATI GPU 21/12/2014 15:45:20 | SETI@home | [sched_op] CPU work request: 0.00 seconds; 0.00 devices 21/12/2014 15:45:20 | SETI@home | [sched_op] AMD/ATI GPU work request: 256713.41 seconds; 0.00 devices 21/12/2014 15:45:22 | SETI@home | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 21/12/2014 15:45:22 | SETI@home | [sched_op] Server version 705 21/12/2014 15:45:22 | SETI@home | No tasks sent 21/12/2014 15:45:22 | SETI@home | No tasks are available for AstroPulse v7 21/12/2014 15:45:22 | SETI@home | Tasks for CPU are available, but your preferences are set to not accept them 21/12/2014 15:45:22 | SETI@home | Tasks for NVIDIA GPU are available, but your preferences are set to not accept them 21/12/2014 15:45:22 | SETI@home | Tasks for Intel GPU are available, but your preferences are set to not accept them 21/12/2014 15:45:22 | SETI@home | Project requested delay of 303 seconds |

Continuing the 'wassup?' theme, I reckon Lando's crashed as well. The SSP says Lando is still running two AP splitters - which it can't do while Marvin is down. And that puts a big question mark over the four MB splitters Lando is supposed to be running. Three splitters on Vader would account for the three channels currently marked 'in progress'. |

And now no new tasks, MB or AP, for my GPU host. Running idle... I'm still getting MB tasks for my GPU quite easy. About 15 minutes & the ready-to-send buffer will be empty. Then it will be the luck of the draw to get any of the few WUs the 3 surviving MB splitters are producing. Grant Darwin NT |

Still getting MB's. I feel lucky, my cache is growing. There are still Beta MB available, so no need for icicles. |

I'm surprised, I was expecting to come home & be out of GPU work & CPU work on my faster system, but both are still chugging along. Looks like every dozen or so requests result in work, and pretty much all that is requested. There still appear to be a lot of VLARs about, so I expect that is helping, a lot. Grant Darwin NT |

One of my crunchers ran out of even MB for GPU sometime during the night, and is merrily crunching its way through Einstein on its dual GTX 780s. The other still has a plentiful (well, about 50 out of 200) MBs left for the GPUs. Happy Thanksgiving, right? |

The last GPU WU is completed and uploaded. All my GPUs are resting now. It's getting cold here. |

Got 20 MB for my GPU. Back to full cache (100). |

I can imagine the frustration Eric and the others must be feeling. Computational devices are fantastic when they work. When they don't they are a BANE on human existence. It's like, of the trillion things that *could* be wrong with this wretched system, which one is it? |

OK, this is crap: 12/22/2014 1:49:07 PM | SETI@home | Sending scheduler request: To fetch work. 12/22/2014 1:49:07 PM | SETI@home | Requesting new tasks for CPU and NVIDIA 12/22/2014 1:49:09 PM | SETI@home | Scheduler request completed: got 0 new tasks 12/22/2014 1:49:09 PM | SETI@home | No tasks sent 12/22/2014 1:49:09 PM | SETI@home | No tasks are available for SETI@home Enhanced 12/22/2014 1:49:09 PM | SETI@home | No tasks are available for AstroPulse v6 12/22/2014 1:49:09 PM | SETI@home | No tasks are available for AstroPulse v7 12/22/2014 1:49:09 PM | SETI@home | This computer has reached a limit on tasks in progress On this machine, with 2 GTX 780s (merrily doing Einstein with share 0 at the moment), my limit is 200, but I have ZERO SETI WUs for the GPU, and I get the above. Being out of work is one thing. But this message? WTF????. |
