I have a task here that keeps on waiting to run, should I abort it? It's almost finished tho, 96% The latest Boinc 7.4.x doesn't show High Priority status any longer, as DA was concerned people confuse it with thread priority, and wouldn't accept alternate wording, So it could be another Wu is running in Panic mode at the moment, it'll sort itself out eventually, most likely when you're done your 11 validations. Geeze, could someone put a bunsen burner under those AP splitters. The creation rate is pathetic. It's almost impossible to build any appreciable AP GPU cache. My CPU AP systems have been able to fill their cache, but it looks like GPU AP cache isn't making much headway. Oops: Might be related ... http://www.berkeleyside.com/2014/12/10/breaking-all-berkeley-unified-schools-will-close-for-thursdays-storm/ Rain pounding Berkeley; flooding; power outages; delays |

Maybe the ending of their drought. They are in a 3 year drought, a couple of big storms will help a bit but it will take years to dig out of the deficit. |

I've got 3 GPU AP's working now, with 3 more in the cache. Also lots of cpu wu's, but it looks like some GPU work is being split at last. I lose a minimum of 3 processing threads when there are no GPU WU's, which drags down the efficiency of the machines...... Server is down, keep getting "Project is temporarily shut down for maintenance" Looks like going back to Einstein for now. All my work units for Seti Main and Beta are done. |

Everything but upload/download servers, MB db, master science db, boinc db and data-driven webpages are disabled. Basically..all but the core essentials got turned off, and according to cricket, that happened at about 1015 in Berkeley (1815 utc). Hmm.. Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

Did anyone turn the Panic Mode on? Or are we still waiting? I guess it was a false alarm. Everything seems to be working now. |

Well, cricket has surged back to life. MB is back up and running, AP database is disabled, same for validator and assimilator, as well as all the AP splitters. :( Maybe the AP fix didn't actually.. fix? Linux laptop: record uptime: 1511d 20h 19m (ended due to the power brick giving-up) |

Rarely is pfb splitter 0 ever enabled. ;-) But I'm wondering what the effect of having 3-4 AP splitters working on a single file does to the AP database. Cheers. |

[As of 12 Dec 2014, 0:00:05 UTC] I wonder is they have moved over to MB? There are 8 PFB splitters, PFB splitter0 is almost always disabled, so that leaves 7 MB splitters. But looking at the splitter status shows 14 MB channels being split. Grant Darwin NT |

Steady on, you can't say stuff like that. What if the astro server heard it? :) Member of the People Encouraging Niceness In Society club. |
