There's still 4 days to go yet so don't jump the gun yet guys.

But it was a good 1st day's play. :-D

Cheers.

Aussies Revenge

One of the worst test matches I've ever seen.

I wouldn't say that. :-)

Women's Ashes starts tomorrow 21st

"But like their male counterparts, Australia have not won the Ashes in England since 2001." :-)

Hmm, could this be a repeat of the 1st test?

99-7 - Anderson taking 5 of those :-)

I was very surprised when Clarky won the toss and elected to bat instead of bowling given the conditions. :-O

Cheers

Wow, that was close for the Aussies, a 2 day defeat.

Aussies 24 runs ahead with only 3 wickets remaining. Looks like 2-1 in the series for England :-)

Aussies currently 245-8. Could this be another 4 day win for England?

LOL - 265 all out...

...they think it's all over...

...it will be soon...

...6 hours for England to score 121 for a 3 day win :-)

With Anderson out injured, Finn doing well 6-79.

...all over by tea, despite some very obvious delaying tactics by the Aussie bowlers

yep, didn't do them much good though :-)

Anderson & Finn are the 1st England bowlers since that great series in 81 to take 6 wickets in a match.

4th test under way.

Went down to lunch with the hope of seeing the Auzzzzzzziez bat - no chance, all out for 60, you couldn't call it a collapse as they never got going.
Unlike Broad who got 8/15 - third all-time fastest (least balls) 8 test match wicket/inning haul. The two ahead of him were in 1889 & 1896....

Scorecard

Damn, that would have been nice to see. Something is not right with Australia. Over the last two years, England, with the way they were playing at the time had no chance against them.

This Ashes series so far...

Just have to post this for prosperity :-)

Top run scorer was Extras with 14.

England's 1st innings, Joe Root heading for a century & Jonny Bairstow getting his 50 :-)

Could this be another 3 day defeat for the Aussies with England regaining the ashes?

Yes, the "sad" thing on that score card is that England, in the form of extras was the highest scoring Auzzzzzzeeee batsman....

Certainly looking as if it isn't going to run into day three - just as well for me as I hadn't planned on going to Nottingham on Sunday anyway.
