John Neale Thanks mate I had never herd of those games so fair enough then he wasn't the first but still what he did has changed the game for the better .

Glenn, the impact that Kerry Packer and World Series Cricket had on the game is not in dispute, but to credit him with the invention of limited overs cricket is stretching things a tad. Read this.


yes I know back to front should be quote first but can't be bothered to redo .

I am only 52 and those games only just started so I'm not surprised I havn't herd of them seeing as there in England and I grew up with World Series Cricket and Test matches which is all there was over here back then .

The days when Big bird , Viv and Lilly where playing and them bloody pink uniforms they had hehehehehe

The Aussies just cruised over Pakistan winning by 6 wickets with 16 overs to spare.

The Kiwis (why havn't they played across this side of the ditch yet?) will play the West Indies tomorrow across the ditch (again) starting at midday here.

It's raining Indian tears at the SCG as the Aussies put on another crushing display winning by 95 runs with 19 balls remaining.

So it's the Aussies against the Kiwis in the final at the MCG on Sunday.

Seeing as she wants to play for the Southern Stars I'd say the Aussies, her father may have been backing the wrong team though. ;-)

I just watched a bit of the footage from over in India where crowds surrounded large outdoor screens to watch the game live, instead of going to work, there were Cat5 cyclones of tears in the streets over there on the outcome of the game.
