A quick update.

Bangladesh beat Scotland by 6 wickets.

Tomorrow India takes on the West Indies across the other side of the continent.

Cheers.

Some interesting permutations could crop up after the weekend...

If India beat West Indies later this morning & South Africa beat Pakistan on Saturday, it'll give Ireland the jolt they need to beat Zimbabwe & get them closer to the quarter-finals :-)

I'm just dropping in with a quick update.

India are currently 5/71 in the 21st over against the WI's at the same ground that the Aussies scored 417 on the other night.

[edit] 6/72 in the 22nd.

Cheers.

I won't be seeing anything of the 1st match, but I maybe home in time to see half of the 2nd match, though I will have my radio with me so I maybe able to listen to them if I can get a signal where I'll be today.

Cheers.

I've put my money where my mouth is. 1st one came home, now hoping SA does the business, & pretty sure I'll lose the 3rd, but who knows :-)

Now that was unexpected :-( However, the results table looks good :-)

England - played 4 won 1 lost 3
Ireland - played 4 won 3 lost 1

Can't see Ireland beating India or Pakistan, but who knows...

Well if Ireland do make it to the quarter-finals, there's no way they'll make it to the semi's :-(

Australia makes it to the next stage

I got home just in time to see the Aussies' last 10 overs, talk about driving the point home.

Today is the Poms against Bangladesh down in Adelaide starting in 7hrs.

Cheers.

Bangladesh finished their innings at 7/275, not a big score, but are the Poms up to the task?

Cheers.

Well, Bangladesh proved that they had the wood on the Poms winning by 15 runs.

Tomorrow India will take on Ireland across the ditch.

Cheers.

Well, it's pretty obvious that Ireland won't qualify but with 3 wins & a possible 3 losses, much better than England's 4 losses & "possible" 2 wins :-)

ROFLMAO.

England need foreign ODI coach

Not sure about the foreign bit, but do agree that the team should have split coaches, 1 for ODI's & another for test matches.

Even though Ireland did a hell of lot better than the Poms in this WC Sirius, they went down badly by 8 wickets to India with 18 overs to spare (very 1 sided).

Tomorrow's match will be Scotland against Sri Lanka down across the steam in Hobart.

Cheers.
