The more research they can get funded, the more likely they are to retain their position... Hence have money for things such as housing, food, and paying the bills. Hopefully scientists get money for things such as housing, food, and paying the bills. Even GW deniers get money for things such as housing, food, and paying the bills. But who are these GW deniers? |

But who are these GW deniers? Human beings. Same as AGW promoters. Science is publish or die. No papers no food. |

But who are these GW deniers? I see. All science about AGW is just a mean to make a living. About time that AGW deniers should go to more Arctic regions and LOOK what is happening. And that goes for ALL glaciers in the world that are diminishing in front of our very eyes. |

But who are these GW deniers? Nahh... It is pretty much all science/mathematics (and quite a number of other diciplines, as well). Publish or Perish. Michael Spivak founded a publishing company... Publish or Perish, Inc. http://www.mathpop.com/ His calculus textbook, Calculus, 2nd ed. is quite... rigorous. It was the textbook we used in Analysis class. If you are a new professor, and you want tenure, you MUST publish, frequently. https://youtu.be/iY57ErBkFFE #Texit Don't blame me, I voted for Johnson(L) in 2016. Truth is dangerous... especially when it challenges those in power. |

But who are these GW deniers? And bribe the review committee if you have to. The paper must be published! Of course today there are lots of "journals" each with a specialty. So if you publish warm papers you go to a warm journal. If you publish cold papers you go to a cold journal. As an added bonus if you publish sensational papers you might get a book deal! |

But who are these GW deniers? Nahh... Perhaps in the US. Here in the midget states in Europe you must not publish, frequently to tell facts. One fact is that AGW is man made and only man can make a change. Merry Christmas. |

ROFLMAO. Meaningless 'fact'. The 'A' in 'AGW' stands for Anthropogenic... That word means 'man-made'. So, by definition, 'AGW' is man-made. And it is not 'GW' (Global Warming) any more, but 'CC' (Climate Change). GHG-ACC.... Anthropogenic Climate Change caused by GreenHouse Gas emissions. What I think you meant to say is: "GHG-ACC is real." https://youtu.be/iY57ErBkFFE #Texit Don't blame me, I voted for Johnson(L) in 2016. Truth is dangerous... especially when it challenges those in power. |

Trump's opinion on Climate Change and nuclear weapons just moved the "Doomsday Clock" 30 seconds closer to midnight. It now stands at 2½ minutes to midnight that's closer than during the Cuban crisis in 1962. The Doomsday Clock just advanced again: It’s now just 2 ½ minutes to ‘midnight.’ |

Trump's opinion on Climate Change and nuclear weapons just moved the "Doomsday Clock" 30 seconds closer to midnight. Tick Tock, Tick Tock... 2017: For the last two years, the minute hand of the Doomsday Clock stayed set at three minutes before the hour, the closest it had been to midnight since the early 1980s. In its two most recent annual announcements on the Clock, the Science and Security Board warned: “The probability of global catastrophe is very high, and the actions needed to reduce the risks of disaster must be taken very soon.†http://thebulletin.org/timeline |

Hopefully, this will put at least some of the 'Marketing' FUD of the old corrupt Fossils finally to bed forever: UK 'need not fear electricity blackouts' says ex-National Grid boss The UK has enough energy capacity to meet demand - even on the coldest days when demand is highest, says Steve Holliday, the man who ran National Grid for a decade. He said news stories raising fears about blackouts should stop... "It's time for the headline of Blackout Britain to end - it's simply wrong. We've been talking about blackouts for 15 years every time it gets cold, but it's a scare story. "The lights haven't gone out yet and thanks to the measures the government is putting in place this week they definitely won't go out in future. The UK has one of the most stable supplies of electricity in Europe."... ... securing capacity to back up intermittent forms of energy like solar and wind might cost about £7 per year per household at first, shrinking to £2 over the long term... ... there has been no problem, despite a long cold windless spell during which wind energy has produced around 1% of electricity demand. The highest daily percentage of wind power was over 20%. ... Is it my imagination or has the old Fossils lobby gone suspiciously quiet whilst their pollution hangs in the air making a big stink until the wind comes to smear it across the Atlantic again?... London's air pollution worse than Beijing's as smog chokes UK capital Areas of London put on highest 'black alert' rating for smog and pollution All on our only one planet, Martin See new freedom: Mageia Linux Take a look for yourself: Linux Format The Future is what We all make IT (GPLv3) |

[...] More on how diesel in our cities are killing us: The trouble with diesel Last week, the Mayor of London issued his first "black alert" warning about air pollution... Today's pollution is usually invisible. But standing outside Sir John Cass Foundation School in the City of London, where some younger pupils had restricted time in the playground during the high pollution episode, we found parents who feel they can smell and taste it... ... The UK government estimates that the harm done by particulates, tiny particles we can't see, in shortening our lives is equivalent to 29,000 premature deaths a year. Add in nitrogen dioxide emissions, which, like particulates, are partly generated by diesel traffic, and that figure rises to about 40,000. This would make air pollution more deadly than obesity and alcoholism combined. ... ... Today, many campaigners believe that we need a modern Clean Air Act with a similar combination of carrots and sticks, to tackle particulates and nitrogen dioxide. Such an Act could clean up trains, taxis and buses, widen the network of emissions zones, and subsidise drivers to scrap older diesel vehicles in favour of electric. We asked every campaigner we interviewed what this might cost. None would name a figure. But it would be expensive. Few people can afford to swap their diesel car or van... All a question of the true cost of pollution? Note how at the moment, polluters (industrial or individuals) do not pay for their pollution... All at what cost to everyone else?... Such an Act could clean up trains, taxis and buses, widen the network of emissions zones, and subsidise drivers to scrap older diesel vehicles in favour of electric. I see you conveniently left this out... "The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra) has said that it will force the five cities (not London) to charge drivers of most buses and coaches and most diesel taxis, but not private cars. " They didn't want to increase the cost of food & beverages in London, hmmm.... |

Arctic heatwave: People in Longyearbyen woke up Monday morning to 20 °C warmer than average for February. https://thebarentsobserver.com/en/arctic/2017/02/heat Longyearbyen’s 5.2°C is similar to the forecast for tomorrow morning in Paris, a city that according to the distance sign outside the terminal building at Longyearbyen airport is 3,326 km to the south. |

A Crack in an Antarctic Ice Shelf Grew 17 Miles in the Last Two Months The crack in Larsen C now reaches over 100 miles in length, and some parts of it are as wide as two miles. The tip of the rift is currently only about 20 miles from reaching the other end of the ice shelf. If the ice shelf breaks at the crack, Larsen C will be at its smallest size ever recorded. |

Just for the records, before we all burn up...........LOL. I resolutely deny any and all claims of human manipulation of climate change. Such things have happened cyclically for eons, and shall beyond our existence. What may or may not even be happening now is far beyond mankind's influence or ability to influence or control. We are on the cosmic skyride, folks. And the earth is taking us with it on our inevitable journey. "Freedom is just Chaos, with better lighting." Alan Dean Foster |
