It can't be at a 500 year low and be above normal at the same time.

Gary it matters where you measure. That makes sense to me.

If you cherry pick your data ... both are allegedly measurements of the snowpack in the Sierra Nevada mountains. Sure, some small variation but each survey should be inside the error bars of the other. Above normal and 500 year low are not going to be inside each others error bars.

BTW the Sierra Nevara are a large mountain range, dozens of miles wide, hundreds of miles long. It isn't going to be just a handful of points in each survey, they should be the average of a hundred or more. That many data points should smooth out any accidental unknown local conditions bias. Of course intentional cherry picking is another matter.

You really are being disingenuous Mr Gary.

The first article you linked to dealt with a long term study of Tree Ring Growth.

The second article you linked to dealt with Snow Pack depth,
The last time the snowpack topped its normal depth for Dec. 28 was in 2012, when it was 146 percent of normal. But by April of that year, the month when it is crucial for snow to be deep enough to carry the state through summer, it had fallen to just 54 percent of normal.

Looks like short term Normal has been going down in long term value.

Or tree rings have nothing to do with snowpack water content.

Gooba the North pole is at a all time record low this year it's approx. 1.25 million klm smaller in area , with only about 2-3 weeks before the normal max sea ice extent if it does not quickly increase then expect this news headline in approx. 7 months from now

"North Pole Melts to only 10% of normal size "

"Record Melting of the north Pole"

Corn is eaten buy humans so the Co2 they consume does not stay out of the atmosphere for long .

The Deniers say "No problem we can just plant more trees or Corn " only 1 problem it doesn't help as plants , Forrest's , Jungles and agriculture does not remove the bulk of the Co2.

The now toilet that once was called the Oceans is responsible for removing the Co2 plants only keep the status quo .Cutting them down has removed the carbon bank because we have burn't it all and put it back into the atmosphere so there normal effect is moot when extra Co2 is being pumped out at a industrial level

Co2 today 404.29 max for Feb 406 , still 3-4 months till the max is hit ,last years max 406 , we are already there how high will it get to this year

Oh Gooba you are aware that the so called poler vortex this year happened because a large concentration of Co2 moved into the Artic circle and Co2 being heaver than normal air would have pushed all the cold south and is my opinion that it's also why this years the North pole has a lower sea ice extent

... And the effects will be felt worldwide as has long been predicted...

Just one unsettling example of a steady litany:

Is India facing its worst-ever water crisis?

On 11 March, panic struck engineers at a giant power station on the banks of the Ganges river in West Bengal state.

Readings showed that the water level in the canal connecting the river to the plant was going down rapidly. Water is used to produce steam to run the turbines and for cooling vital equipment of coal-fired power stations.

By next day, authorities were forced to suspend generation at the 2,300-megawatt plant in Farakka town causing shortages in India's power grid. Next, the vast township on the river, where more than 1,000 families of plant workers live, ran out of water...

... "Never before have we shut down the plant because of a shortage of water," says Milan Kumar, a senior plant official.

"We are being told by the authorities that water levels in the river have receded, and that they can do very little."...

... Monsoon rains have been scanty in India for the second year in succession. The melting of snow in the Himalayas - the mountain holds the world's largest body of ice outside the polar caps and contributes up to 15% of the river flow - has been delayed this year...

We are long long past the arguments of denial. The questions now really are merely chasing the ever finer detail and ever sooner timing. We completely know we are cooking our planet with industrial and industrial farming CO2 and methane in a way this planet has never suffered before.

How soon before climate forced Revolution destroys our politicians and industries?...

Watch this planet, all within our one lifetime.

Incredible.

It's always those with the papers that say there smarter than everyone else that are the first to be lead to the chopping block .

Now pity they aren't smart enough to realise if the masses don't enjoy the wealth then they lose eventually .

Oh how smart are the likes of the Stone Masons , Church of scientology , KKK ,KFC Foundation , Rand Corp that there little plan of chaos & destruction will backfire . They forget they are outnumbered so there will be no Utopia for them .

Pity they didn't wait till the Robots where ready to do the crap work while they sit back and sip there Martini's . "Science will solve all the problems "

Gues what people we are one of those problems they are talking about .

400 ppm CO2? Add Other GHGs, and It’s Equivalent to 478 ppm

The Keeling Curve record from the NOAA-operated Mauna Loa Observatory shows that the atmospheric carbon dioxide concentration hovers around 400 ppm, a level not seen in more than 3 million years when sea levels were as much as 80 feet higher than today

Sensor on F-17 experiencing difficulties, sea ice time series temporarily suspended

How Convenient when we are looking at the worse North pole Melt ever recorded .

In there Summer this year .

What does the American Government Know we don't know , are they hiding something !!
