Why export them? That Carp Burger looked tasty enough. Scoop up all the carp for plenty of burgers, get the Yanks off their beef diet, would help enormously with their obesity issues.

Now that has to help with climate change reduction :-)

Seems the UK could do with that too, strange how people attack the USA when the UK is among the worst for obesity in Europe

Obesity is now a plague in most western countries.
There is now even drive-in restaurants.
Soon it will be drive-through restaurants.
Obesity claims millions of Lifes.
Diabetes 2, Heart and vasculare problems, High blood pressure causing stroke...

To produce all that food (25 % are thrown away) requires a lot of the planets Resources. And the CO2 emmissions ar immense and requires a lot of fresh water.

This is really to much.
The jets used by the Swedish Government have six times lift from Arlanda airport and landed at Bromma airport - a distance of 41 km driving route - to pick up ministers.
The jets belongs to the Swedish Airforce!
When using Arlanda Express it takes 20 minutes to Stockholm Center walking distance to Rosenbad.
Bromma Airport however...

VAT reduction because it's very green...

Migration problems have already started from Africa and Middle East.
Season of tragedies starting again in the Mediterranean. Reports of 400 persons drowned as boat capsized off the coast of Libya today.

An extreme of denial?

Breathing poison in the world's most polluted city

... The result, we're told, is permanent lung damage, and 1.3 million deaths annually. That makes air pollution, after heart disease, India's second biggest killer.

And yet, it's only in the past two months as India's newspapers and television stations have begun to report the situation in detail that we've been gripped, like many others, with a sense of acute panic. ...

For something so directly obviously "in-yer-face" and right in yer throat and down to yer lungs... What chance have we against pollution that cannot be directly visibly seen until far too late?...

Can our politicians save us from the corrupt industrial demise yet?

If one understands the Historical (Human?) response to this situation:
It will not end well.

Shocking update this morning...
A major rescue operation has managed to rescue 28 refugees in a new boating accident off the Libyan coast, about 20 mil south of Lampedusa, Italy. Nearly 700 refugees have ended up in the water after a boat capsized. There are testimonies of hundreds of bodies.

The accident, which should have occurred in international waters, a 150 km off the Libyan coast and 200 km from the Italian island of Lampedusa, is similar to where about 400 people reported to have died only a few days ago.

More of an industrial spin-off increasing trend:

Australia storms: Flood-threatened homes evacuated in Sydney

Residents in parts of the Australian city of Sydney have been urged to evacuate their homes as powerful storms continue to lash the region...

... Parts of the region have experienced more than 30cm (one foot) of rainfall, wind gusts of more than 100km/h (60mph) and waves reaching record heights of 15m (50ft)...

... told to leave their homes amid fears the nearby Georges River is about to burst its bank...

Ironically:

The world's largest port for coal exports in the city of Newcastle, north of Sydney, has been shut due to the storm

Australia storms: Flood-threatened homes evacuated in Sydney

Sorry to say this Martin but the East coast Low that has now killed 4 people is a normal event when ever there is a El Nino which there is at the moment .
it happens every 10 years or so .

I live in the Illawarra in the city of Wollongong and the Low you are talking about streached from the Illawarra to the Hunter Valley some 400 klm + to the north

I have lived here since i was 9 yrs old and have seen this type of storm 3 times so it's a normal weather event.

It always occurs around Easter some times just before and sometimes just after Easter but because it only comes once every 10-15 yrs people tend to forget that it only happens when there is a El nino

http://www.weatherzone.com.au/climate/indicator_enso.jsp?c=nino34

This graph shows that we have been in a El Nino for some time and i have been warning people about it for some time .

When we get the floods California gets the drought , when California gets the floods we get the drought the 2 areas are linkd by what happens in the pacific ocean and the El Nino and La Nina's

Any problem with Duke University?

I have no idea. There are MANY theories about what happens to the climate.

- Duke University study looked at 1,000 years of temperature records

- It compared it to the most severe emissions scenarios by the IPCC

- Found that natural variability can slow or speed the rate of warming

- These 'climate wiggles' were not properly accounted for in IPCC report

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-3052926/Our-climate-models-WRONG-Global-warming-slowed-recent-changes-natural-variability-says-study.html#ixzz3YKTRF77V...

So... That nicely confirms what we are seeing. Shame about the media rhetoric and the dumb distortions for the denialist cause.

You can't deny the physics of CO2 gas mediated, H2O vapour amplified, human industry generated global warming and the increasingly extreme consequences.

For that article, note also:

Duke Researcher Denounces Rush Limbaugh's "Ridiculous" Distortion Of His Global Warming Study

Rush Limbaugh grossly distorted a new study from Duke University, claiming it shows that "there isn't any [global] warming going on." But one of its authors noted that the study actually confirms humans' role in driving global warming and said that Limbaugh's claim is "ridiculous." ...

Study: Global Warming Has Slowed But Could Heat Up Again

A study led by Duke University of 1,000 years of temperature records has shown that global warming is not occurring as fast as some have suggested, the U.K.'s Daily Mail reported...

... This natural balance, however, could shift, the scientists warn, and the "climate wiggles" seen over the years could change, forcing Earth to warm at a faster speed than expected, the study said.

"At any given time, we could start warming at a faster rate if greenhouse gas concentrations in the atmosphere increase without any offsetting changes in aerosol concentrations or natural variability," said Wenhong Li, assistant professor of climate at Duke, who worked with Brown on the climate change study...

Such is the games that the sensationalist media and shill denialists ('Marketing'?) misleadingly and corruptly play to everyone's cost.

So, what that study actually shows is that we are presently storing up far greater trouble for the future for faster warming and greater disruption. All just a question of when the deep ocean currents change or of when the newly warmed deep ocean water melts the thousands of years of stored methane clathrates...

Meanwhile I expect the denialists to claim that "nothing is happening", "nothing is happening", "oh look still nothing is happening", and then the warming increases for the denialists to then say: "oh we're all doomed already so time to die and have fun burning off the rest of the oil" to spite the rest of the world! Such are stupid corrupt games with our world.

Or all a part of continuing corruptly manipulated ignorance?

The future is scary. Yes, it sure is...
Methane clathrates...
Now we are talking about mass extinctions.
Could this happen again?
Of course with a little help from us, the humans...

Clyde your missing the point it's not about the weather or how much it will change it's about THE CO2 LEVEL .

As I have stated we will reach 600 ppm by aprox 2085 a full 15 yrs before the scientists say the temps will increase 1 degree above what they are now by the end of the 2100 .

But will reach 600 ppm 15 years at best before that so it's not about Climate , by then it will already be to late . So you can quote all the stats about Climate you whant .

It's the Deniers trick to shift the goal posts to temp's instead of what the actual problem is and that is Co2 as they can't win that argument .

The hysterical responses are typical, and tragically, stops any Intelligent Discussion

Not hysterical Fact , I don't try and confuse people with B/s mate , witch the deniers do by moving the goal posts and talk about the temp haven't gone up , which we all know have , or the poler caps aren't melting which they have , the ocean haven't slowed the temp from going up which it has , as the currents are changing and all the deniers do is try and b/s there way through any suggestion that we have a problem as your little paper suggests

Now if that is intelligent ! gowd help us all with brains like that running things

Top scientists start to examine fiddled global warming figures

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/comment/11561629/Top-scientists-start-to-examine-fiddled-global-warming-figures.html

first point IT's a article from the biggest Denier there is , Rupert Murdoch papers .

Second point , of cause there is a difference with the temps on the ground and what a satelite says is the temp there just not that high enough a detail to actually use .

http://www.tempdatareview.org/Top

Will be interesting.

Clyde my opinion is :

The Global Warming Policy Foundation (GWPF) is a think tank in the United Kingdom, whose stated aims are to challenge "extremely damaging and harmful policies" envisaged by governments to mitigate anthropogenic global warming.[3][4] The Independent describes the foundation as "the UK's most prominent source of climate-change denial".[5]

enough said .

edit : Cylde didn't you know murdoch owns the telegraph not Packer , he sold it to news corp

it was owned by Frank Packer's Australian Consolidated Press. That year it was sold to News Limited (now News Corp Australia). In 1990, it merged with its afternoon sister paper The Daily Mirror to form The Daily Telegraph-Mirror with morning and afternoon editions although the afternoon editions were later discontinued.
