I just downloaded a new desktop wallpaper at space.com. It is one of several Hubble deep field shots of stars. Looking up at night it is hard to comprehend how many stars there are, just in our galaxy. But looking at this image you can't help but wonder which ones support planets or moons with life.

Great picture Bob!

I was looking at pictures of San Fermín in Pamplona, Spain earlier, wondering if 2015 would be the year I go and join the gaggle of life happening there in the middle of July. I have wanted to do this since I read "the Sun Also Rises" in high school.

When I saw your picture, I was reminded those photos of chupinazo-the start of San Fermín in the city square and the crush of life as tens of thousands of people in their Pamplonica- a costume of white pants and shirts and red scarves, jamming the city center.

Surely, there is life out there amongst all of those stars.

chupinazo

All the more amazing when you realize that when looking up the area of the image could be covered by your thumb at arms length.
