Well...

Since we still have the ability to incinerate the world: Let's find out if our Leadership is Evil.

It does involve the entire word.

You would impose your opinions on the rest of the world? Yeah thats called Imperialism and generally the rest of the world doesn't like it. You can of course try, but well...there will be consequences.

Grandad? When Will The Fight Be Over?

The Time Our People Can Knock Over Convienence Stores;

Push Around and Threaten Clerks;

Walk Down Middle of All Streets;

And When A Cop Pulls Up While Doing So,

Gives Us The A-OK Sign, Smiles and

We Walk On

Until We Feel The Need To Do 'It' Again.

Sounds Wonderful, Grandad. Can't Wait.

And as they say, "You can't put brains into a peanut.", I'll let the last post be a good example of that statement. ;-)

Cheers.

I'm beginning to have doubts again if evil can be found in the genes after reading this article:'((

Correct?

Responding to a post made Nov 20 last year, and you have dozens of other posts in the thread; at least everyone can see what game you are playing with barbs on baited hooks from the deck of a slowly moving dingy.

Are murderers born or made?

A genetic predisposition; enhanced by childhood experiences?

This is what humanity is capable of:

forgiveness and reconciliation, the Spirit of Enniskillen

Gordon Wilson lived very much on this planet.

"I bear no ill will. I bear no grudge"

Very powerful.

No "ill will" against those who have Brutally Raped and Murdered YOUR Infant Child?

After that has happened to YOUR Child: Then, and only then, will you have any real understanding.

Or will you still have Empathy FOR this vile and evil person, who has slaughtered YOUR Child.

Well if my child had been raped or sexually assaulted I would hardly publicly announce it would I? There is too much shame and stigma associated with it.

So your demand that anyone with a child who had been through that should use such a horrific event to make a point on the internet is more than silly. It is not one that people would be willing to admit to for the sake of the child who has to live with something like that for the rest of their lives and doesn't deserve to have it posted all over the internet.

How do you expect people to respond to your statement Clyde? The fact that you made it shows that you don't even have empathy for the parents of victims.

If that rule were upheld as strictly as you interpret it, there would be no politics forum. I do believe the post at the top of this forum says the rules a bit more relaxed here - meaning not so strictly interpreted.

Oh you've dredged something up from a long time ago and now I am annoyed all over again. :/

It was an incredibly insensitive thing he wrote.

For me we are either human or animal (sometimes both) depending on how we live our lives.

Maybe a better question is "Are We\You\Me Evil Or Are We\You\Me Good"...

We always talk about 'Humans' as the other \ someone else distant when we talk about the bad.

I assume everyone who reads this thread is hunan.

.. So the question should be "Are You Evil"...

It's easy to say other's are evil because they don't fit or do what you like or believe in.

It's harder to question ourselves.

I believe humans, animals, angels, gods, plants are born or become or just exist with whole variety of potentials.

Most succeed at becoming sociable or at least achieving the basics of reproduction without too many detractors.

On average human's nor any life form are born evil. Mostly they are born towards the positive.

It doesn't mean they are born 'good' either.

No doubt some are born and end up being destructive but most of us tend towards the productive or beneficial at some level.

Another question is "what do we consider evil or good"...

... but the best question for each of us to ask is "am I an evil human" and how long can I hide it for.

I still believe it's a religion thing.
As a generalisation, forcing religion without real belief of the 'teacher' will always lead to conflict, look at the 'bible belt' of USA and the televangelists with multi million dollar mansions (hey, the 'tour bus was 'cheap' only cost about a million or so)
As far as I'm aware, to answer the original question, there may be a genetic component but majority is nurture rather than nature
I'm not a complete idiot, but, I'm working on it.
I have an opinion and I'm not afraid to use it
