...
Also is the GBT a regular feed or will it suffer from the same funding/being off-line issues that Arecibo has?

Cheers

I think the GBT data for which a new splitter is being developed now is the ~40 Terabytes gathered during the Kepler field reobservations. That data is already in house.

Forward plans include putting a Serendip VI system at GBT and maybe another at Arecibo. That new "receiver" (of intermediate frequencies {IF} downconverted by the observatory receivers) will have outputs for SETI with more bandwidth capability than the multibeam recorder now in use at Arecibo. I don't know if it will be restricted to the L band at GBT, but even if so that's potentially more than 45 times as much data recorded per hour of observation than we now get from Arecibo. IOW, although the GBT L Band receiver is probably not used as much as higher bands, there's likely to be more than enough data to keep SETI@home systems busy for the forseeable future. A Serendip VI at Arecibo taking the full 300 MHz. IF from each channel of the ALFA receiver could provide 120 times as much data as we're getting from the current multibeam recorder.
                                                                  Joe

I think you're premature, the server status page says:

Or it's the results coming back.

I hope it's new work. But there are over 1million results returned.

This is asuming they are 10kB a piece(i have returned larger results)
1000000x0,01=10000MB

about 300Mb incoming(outgoing on cricket) makes 37,5 MB/s

10000/37.5/60=4.44Hr this is the amount of time the graph is up.
So i'm not getting my hopes up yet.

OOPS, Messed up big. it's 4,4 minutes. Mybe 3:30 local time makes me not as sharp

Matt:
Thanks for putting that update on BOINC Notices. I was indeed wondering what was going on when all of my WUs had completed without any new ones coming in.

Just an idea but have you all ever considered trying one of the crowd funding site to get donations for the sole purpose of buying time on telescopes for the Seti project.
If people will pony up 5 buck to help people build a "better ice chest" to the tune of a million plus, I am sure there would be tremendous interest in funding
Seti research.
Plus you would be reaching a whole new group of people(young) who you have never reached by your other methods.
Then there is the "geek" factor, seems that these days people like to help geeks.

Ok, hope this will get solved sooner rather than later, Mexico is online in this project.

The upcoming Green Bank project will be dedicated time observing the Kepler Field. We're already going to be getting some prelim. data from it to crunch soon (I hope.)

Matt,
Hope the database reconstruction goes well. Glad to see Green Banks data soon. My father told me as a kid, the GBT site was on my aunt's farm. Who would have thought years later I would be processing GBT data??

As such has been made clear to me for many years, it would seem the universe has a sense of humor. Examples abound!

I certainly hope we get the GBT data running soon. That little blue 'X' with a yellow dot is looking quite lonely sitting in my taskbar.
