Rather than clog up Dr. Korpela's thread with comments, I thought it would be better to start one here to discuss his latest post. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=76106 Well, that is rather disheartening but what can you do? Things happen for a reason so the best we can do is wish them the best of luck in trying to get these things sorted out. As he mentions in his post If you don't have a low share back-up project, now might be time to add one. |

I'm still trying to work out a timeline. Is it going to be Happy Thanksgiving, or, Merry Christmas? Or, are the figures a little off and it will be working next week... |

Seti cache is set to max and Einstein will get a small bump if necessary. |

I'm filling up on MBs for now. Once they go dry I'll head back to Einstein and give them a run. |

Well, wonder how fast the web will get without all the work units being tossed around? |

Looking at the cricket graphs, it appears that they are moving lots of data. |

I've been hitting up my backup projects quite a bit lately over the last month or so, so I'll just hit them up a bit more. ;-) Cheers. |

When I run dry. My machines will do back up projects. No big deal, Maybe I can hit the one million mark on both of them this time around. [/quote] Old James |

I've always had a secondary project or two. If my GPU empties I guess Einstein will get some time. |

Bitcoin Utopia always has CPU & GPU work available and can benefit either Boincstats or Milkyway in the process. |

I dont waste ressources for projects i dont believe in. Money is earned way to hard so i`ll rather shut my machine down. With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

Time to extensive offline benching and tuning. Also system cleanup and reconfiguration. All that maintenance can take some time ;) |

Bitcoin has always rubbed me the wrong way. I just don't believe in it. Einstein is my back up since Beta is down as well. If that one were ever to go down, I think GPUGrid would be my 4th choice. There would have to be some major meltdowns for all those to go down at the same time. But to each their own. Everyone has their priorities. I don't begrudge anyone for what project they chose to crunch. Happy Crunching.. Zalster |

Bitcoin Utopia always has CPU & GPU work available and can benefit either Boincstats or Milkyway in the process. The campaign for the replacement BOINCstats hardware has been completed. I have mostly been focusing on the "The Economic Viability of Mars Colonization" campaign & recently started on the 2nd Milkyway one. I think it would be neat if there was a reoccurring one for SETI@home. Much like the Milkyway one. Seems that more than $1,000 a month can be generated at the moment. I tried to set up my GPUs to do work for Bitcoin Utopia but I didn't have any luck. |

They have added more tapes but these aren't very big tapes so will have to see how long they last. |
