.. and not so happy. Just got my first optimized Einstein linux app working 95%+ flawlessly. Out of curiosity, roughly how much improvement in run-times did you get? Soli Deo Gloria |

I only panicked once. I processed my first WU on Seti Clasic and no work for at least a couple of weeks. So what is my thinking now? Took a bit tho. Back up projects are humming, thanks to Angela's and Eric's encouragement. Pluto will always be a planet to me. Seti Ambassador Not to late to order an Anni Shirt |

All full here, though my main rig still has 18hrs of Einstein GPU work to do (it grabbed a fresh batch just before work here started flowing again) while my other rig still has 14hrs of Rosetta CPU work to complete. Cheers. |

.. and not so happy. Just got my first optimized Einstein linux app working 95%+ flawlessly. At first the (BRP5-cuda) runtime decreased from 1h20min to 1h12min. After that I can not say since I have run 4 or 5 at a time and done BRP4G too. Here is one and it is not with the latest version. This must be with 2 at a time. http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/workunit.php?wuid=204610223 This is newest (5 per gpu, 4 gpus, total 20 einstein tasks at a time running, no cpu tasks) http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/workunit.php?wuid=205636544 And here's one when running 4 at a time http://einstein.phys.uwm.edu/workunit.php?wuid=203002383 That would make the run time to 1:08:45 for one task. Hi Julie, Mine are all on 1 rig:-)Asteroids using CPU, Seti & Einstein on GPU.. I have a separate rig for milkyway, but that only runs about 2 hours a day, just enuff to keep the project ticking over without sending my electrickery bill into near earth orbit:-) Regards, Cliff, Been there, Done that, Still no damm T shirt! |

3 of 4 rigs all picked up work but they are still crunching Einstein since they have "higher priority". So probably not going to get them crunched till Monday |

Looks like new data is still being loaded. An hour or two ago there were 104 channel to do & now 116. With the estimated amount of work the 5TB of data will generate. There should be plenty of MB into January. AP will probably get going before then & then we can start tearing though the 2000+ channels of AP data. Which will probably make the MB data last a bit longer as machines start doing AP work.
