The software is available... as we know, the FBI tracks and records every byte transmitted on the internet and the CIA records and stores all phone calls, cellular and landline and runs real-time analysis to determine threat level.

Unfortunately, they have LARGE Buildings, filled with Hardware.

Seti@Home is done out of a closet :)

Was, now it is in a data center with a Gigabyte connection to the internet.

Anyone know anyone at NSA, maybe they would be interested in making a donation, then they could eavesdrop on E.T...............:))

I recently added CUDA processing on production SETI on one of my machines, but I can't download one of the files, unfortunately, one that all the WU's need. I get:

11/14/2014 10:18:37 AM | SETI@home | Temporarily failed download of cufft32_50_35.dll: transient HTTP error

Can someone look into this? The problem isn't on my end, I think...

This is going to be a communistic weekend, where we all are equal. No matter how much or how little money we poured into our hardware, we will get the same amount of credit out of it.

That's worth a big: BWAHAHAHA....

At least my boxes are keeping me warm......-17 Fahrenheit night before last.

Tthe number of RTS is 33 min old & it looks to have remained flat for the past 90 min. I would hazard a guess that something else may have gone a bit wonky.

EDITL Right after posting it looks like it updated again & things may have unstuck themselves.

If no more "tapes" are added soon, we will run out of tasks in a few hours. May Dog save us all.

PS: Don't say the words "Backup projects". It's totally against my religious belief system. :-)

I'd rather watch icicles form in my computer, than add any backup projects.

I'm with you. All my pie charts at boincstats.com have been solid blue for years including other times when there has been a WU drought. I really do not want to see that change so it will be a good time to blow out the dust on my server and then wait patiently.

Anyone who took notice how many channels they managed to get from those 0.25GB tapes?

Passing idle thought....
Will the current crop of applications work with the data from the GBT (frequencies, bandwidths etc.?)

Last I heard they were going to try, but were expecting to have to rewrite or at least modify current apps.

Well.. I guess that's that until the DB gets fixed and AP comes back online. My cache finally ran out.

On the plus side, my rig is drawing about 70 watts less now and putting out almost nothing for heat. I think my power supply is putting out more heat than the CPU is.

There is still over 3K MBv7 units left, so plenty of work to do.

Oh, yeah, I should mention that I've been AP-only on my main rig since about 2008. I know there's plenty of MB out there.. my little slow Sempron machine can have all the MBs it wants.
