Hopefully that will solve their chronic fan-quality problems! :-b |

The Guru of 3D posted about it this morning - http://www.guru3d.com/news-story/gigabyte-shows-geforce-gtx-980-waterforce-3-way-sli.html - unfortunately the Gigabyte web site did not have anything on it as of yet. It's a big sucker, the rad box is massive, but it still looks like it may be sweet. Still trying to figure out the function of the pole. I don't buy computers, I build them!! |

Still trying to figure out the function of the pole To support the distal end of the GPU. Unless you install the (sometimes) optional backplate the GPU tend to bend (sag) over time. That pole hold the distal portion up so that there is no bending of the GPU over time. I suspect that with the bending there is probably some bending of the Motherboard connection. |

Impressive, but i will wait for the EVGA models. Quality speak hard on expensive hardware. |

Still trying to figure out the function of the pole It would seem that with the amount of money that we, the consumers, spend on these cards, that the backplate would be included in the initial cost of the device or at least make the PCB robust enough to withstand the strain. I guess greed over rules common sense. Even though it looks sweet, I'd rather have a 1 or 2 loop full block system. Impressive, but i will wait for the EVGA models. Quality speak hard on expensive hardware. +1, maybe +2. I don't buy computers, I build them!! |

Interesting, though with a 4 slot pci-e motherboard, I'd have to fill up the last slot with a 4th GTX980 with its own radiator. But I'll wait, as I have more important fish to fry right now.
