Just popped in to dump a rant in here :)

So cashier lost her mind when I hoved into view at her till today. Bill came to seventeen pounds something so handed her a £20 note and lo and behold her brain turned to mush. Though she "remembered" I DID give her one - she then "couldn't remember" what she did with it - so decided maybe I didn't give her one after all (which is when I would DEFINITELY have liked to "give her one" - and the security guard and the store manager - none of whom would let me leave until they worked out she'd had it vacuumed away into her tubey thing). Customer behind me was no good at all - as if he'd only just beamed down from another planet and knew nothing about anything and as I was busy putting the stuff I'd bought into a bag I hadn't seen her stash the wretched thing.

No apology. Was just marched off like a shoplifter then told that "people do it all the time at this time of year".

Added an hour onto what is becoming an increasingly miserable experience Christmas shopping :(

THEN had to queue up again to buy everything I'd already bought and paid for AGAIN so I didn't - I waited till I got to the front of the queue AGAIN, but this time with my security escort, before "changing my mind" ... then sweetly requested they prove the "refunded" £20 note I was given wasn't fake because (as I put it in my sweetest - clearest voice) "I've been given so many counterfiet ones in here this time of year". Had a very satisfying ripple effect throughout the store :)))

Left feeling a little better - but not much... Will NEVER step foot in there again :)
