As the title says.

I would have posted this in the panic thread but I get the above message, as well as when I want to go to the milestone or winning thread. I can't post in the threads anymore as I'm directed back to the main page with the above msg. The Word Link works. Anyone have any idea what this means?

IE seems to be working fine. I only get this msg in Chrome.

[edit] How can a site contain malware in one browser and not on the other one with the same antivirus program on both browsers?

I get the same message at beta. Will check later on at home if it's the company's firewall here that has some flaws.

Maybe one of the cookies contains malware.

Download malwarebytes free and check your computer.

Thanx Mike, can't do that over here as I'm no system administrator. If I get the same msg at home, I'll follow your advice.

Thanx Highlander, that was the problem. I don't get the warning anymore. Only strange that IE doesn't seem to have any problem with the malware in the sig (?)

I used bit.ly (which is a site of reducer of link) for my forum signature.
So, I deleted all the links bit.ly of my forum signature not to pollute :)
But I do not have to be the only one to use this site, I think.

I've just had the same warning from my ISP's web mail access portal. That page doesn't show any user-generated images (and it is good for protecting me from malware attached to spam messages).

But it does show images - from advertisers. If malware ever does get into the advertising stream, then the web has got a big problem on its hands.

Couple of weeks ago my Uni account started blocking several threads here on account of some metric or other. Curiously, most were threads started by Merle...

Seems it is Chrome and Firefox, flagging Bit.ly as having malware

Thanx Bernie, I'll try to unhide the sigs from time to time, see what it gives.

I hope that my use of Adblock Plus for my computers & Android phone keeps me safe from such shenanigans. Besides just keeping the ads away,
