I hope people realise that the threat is not over until the outbreak ends in west Africa. But Obama sure did shut down 99% of the reporting on ebola here in the USA. I think the media was getting hysterical over the situation.

Id like to add though, That no news dosent mean there is no bad news about Ebola. I see the BBC app on my smart phone is still repoting about Ebola.

If the President can squash coverage on Ebola. What else can he squash?

Ebola crisis: Sierra Leone bodies found piled up in Kono

Health officials in Sierra Leone have discovered scores of bodies in a remote diamond-mining area, raising fears that the scale of the Ebola outbreak may have been underreported.

The World Health Organization said they uncovered a "grim scene" in the eastern district of Kono.

A WHO response team had been sent to Kono to investigate a sharp rise in Ebola cases.

Ebola has killed 6,346 people in West Africa, with more than 17,800 infected.

Sierra Leone has the highest number of Ebola cases in West Africa, with 7,897 cases since the beginning of the outbreak.

Ebola crisis: Sierra Leone bans Christmas celebrations

Sierra Leone has banned public celebrations over Christmas and the New Year, because of the Ebola crisis.

Soldiers are to be deployed on the streets throughout the festive period to keep people indoors, officials say.

Christmas is widely celebrated in Sierra Leone, even though Islam is the largest religion.

Sierra Leone has the most cases of Ebola in the current outbreak. Some 6,580 have died, mostly in Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone.

Doctors hope the experimental treatment could help combat the virus that has been sweeping West Africa and killing thousands of people.

Up to 13 December, 6,841 people had been reported as having died from the disease.

The total number of reported cases is more than 18,000.

If a person has successfully fought off the infection, it means their body has learned how to combat the virus and they will have antibodies in their blood that can attack Ebola.

Sierra Leone Educates on Safe Ebola Burials

With Ebola having killed more than 2,000 people in Sierra Leone, and unsafe burials possibly being responsible for up to 70 percent of new infections, officials said they are resorting to increasingly desperate measures to clamp down on traditional burials in the country.
