You don't need the most complex equipment. I use my iPhone and run a cord to the aux input to my stereo.

A lot of early telivison shows came from radio series.
I lsiten to Radio Clasics on Sirus XM 82. I love those old shows.
Thanks for rekindling some nice memories.

Edit- It was Highway Patrol with Biderick Crawford.

I wish there were normal over-the-air radio stations that broadcast that stuff.

Well, I get ME TV over the air and another station that has Highway Patrol with Biderick Crawford.
Lots of luck trying. I use Internet radio and podcasts for the oldies radio broadcasts.

I want something I can tune in on my living room hi-fi, not on a computer.

Well, my A/V receiver has vTuner which has access to over 30,000 internet radio stations.

Here's some of the products that has vTuner.

So your Receiver has that thing built in? I've never heard of vTuner. I looked at that website a little bit. Not really sure how it works, but assume it's similar to Sirius. The radio drama genre is what I want.

There are no fees with vTuner.

As a kid, I watched afternoon syndicated reruns of stuff like Gilligan's Island, I dream of Jeannie, My Three Sons, Andy Griffith, Hogan's Heroes... Can't stand most of them now.

For first run, Bob Newhart was also a weekly staple, although watching reruns now I realize it was really a bit over my head back then.

One of the ME TV stations was running Highway Patrol for a while a few years ago and I kind of liked it. Dragnet 67-70 is good too, but I've seen them all too many times now. About ready to quit DVRing Adam-12 too.

I just read a brief synopsis of that show; it sounds interesting and vaguely familiar. I think I may have seen some episodes, many moons ago.
