Beta is still MIA.

I see the 3rd file deleter is now running on bruno, though.

I think that another server is doing every task what SSP shows Bruno is doing. SSP script hasn't been updated to show correct servers, staff has more urgent jobs to do :)

Well, it's been about a day since I first posted about the AP Splitters not working, There are APs supposedly being split but....
I still don't see evidence of the first completed channel, http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/sah_status.html
The same stuck file, 28mr11ab, is still there.
Is there any hope?

Take it light, we know much in stress The Staff is, running this project with no cash...

It's entirely possible that the Astropulse v7 ready to send buffer is over the maximum allowed with all the resends going out.

Kinda hard to tell without any data isn't it. I doubt the resends are a problem though, I think I took care of most of them between my two Linux Hosts. When I realized most people were stuck with too many uploads I booted the Linux host that had none. All you had to do is stop them at around 90% complete so they wouldn't try to upload. I think I cleared out most of them...
My machines are receiving very few resends at present. All I was asking for was an update...it's been over a day.

Yes, But all the timed out Wu's will go to the back of the queue for the feeder, so you and i don't know how many AP v7 tasks are mixed in with those 300 thousand MBv7 tasks, that's my point.

Dunno, check it out. My one Linux host is still working on about 60 of them.

My Windows 8.1 Host received a resend about an Hour ago, http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=6796475&offset=0&show_names=0&state=0&appid=20. Considering it's getting extremely Low, one would assume if more were available the server would have sent more.
Too bad it didn't send it to the machine that's been out for most of a day.
Look, another Resend, http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/results.php?hostid=7258715
Again, to the wrong machine.

That said, it does look like the RSS feed and the News forum don't match up. I'll fire David a note. Never hurts to check.

Yes, this is what I was referring to in my post. FWIW, they updated the news on the home page today, and it is still not reflected in the forum or the RSS feed.

David Anderson wrote:
rss_main.php only returns things newer than 30 days.

The "broken upload server" item is actually not a forum post.
S@h has a separate, file-based mechanism for temporary stuff like that.
Such items don't appear in RSS feeds.

It's not a notice because it's not a condition that
volunteers can fix, and it's not of interest to most volunteers.

I didn't look at the log, but it appears my phone has finally reported the Betas it finished several days ago. However, the project site is still down.

[edit]
I checked my tablet's event log. It asked for work at 13:55 CST and got "down for maintenance." It asked again at 16:08 and got "nothing available." I'd say that's a step in the right direction.

Nope. Amazingly, each one of them went to a different user. Three of them then had other problems and went to _3 hosts, also all different users.

[edit]
One of those users is named "GOOD GOOGELY MOOGELY! Time for operation: FOXTROT OSCAR! Happy happy fun time with G-Man and his bytes! Keeping them crunching, all the way to Christmas! (and probably beyond) (but only on days of the week that end in "Y".)"

More stuck MB tapes?
Ready-to-send buffer is staying full, but splitter output is barely over 25/s, not the more recent 40/s or so.

AP spliting is certainly having some problem, MB spliting holding the load but for how long? At this rate we could be out of tapes to MB split while waiting for AP split very soon. Something very wierd BTW.

Yes, good spot. http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/stats/

I guess that comes into the category of "some bruno based services are still off." (front page)

Strange the SSP keeps showing APs being spilt when there's no APs to get.

Well, not much to add, except my usual two letters: AP.

Yep. No new AP's since 2 Nov. Only resends...

I fear that no new AP's until next week.

We could engage in some idle speculation. I made a post about AP file 28mr11ab being stuck early on the 2nd. One could speculate that was the beginning of the problem. Looking at the SSP graph one can see it happened around 2 am Berkeley time. 2 am on the 2nd was when daylight savings time ended. You don't think....
Naw, couldn't be...but my Linux machines have this nasty habit of having the time zone off when switching between systems. There was a Ubuntu update to the time component a few days ago...naw...couldn't be.

Doesn't seem likely, given that the servers run on UTC, but as Ford said to Arthur on Fintlewoodlwix, in an infinite universe, anything is possible.
