I just started to crunch SETI again with 1 computer and noticed some
server problems, but I get enough work for now MB 7.0 and 7.03 also AP 7 WU's.
Seeing a lot off mega crunchers b.t.w.

AP v6 assimilators are still offline- so the backlog continues to grow.

Hi Richard,
I'm having some connectivity issues.
25/10/2014 00:26:33 | SETI@home | Sending scheduler request: Requested by user.
25/10/2014 00:26:33 | SETI@home | Reporting 3 completed tasks
25/10/2014 00:26:38 | | Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
25/10/2014 00:26:39 | | Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.
25/10/2014 00:27:31 | SETI@home | Scheduler request completed

However I have no problem accessing the site manually with IE, status, account and these pages.

Regards,
Cliff,

Just had a look at my log & no upload issues, although there have been some Scheduler request failures, and those that do work are taking a while to get a response.
So while things aren't broken, they're not working as well as they usually do. Could be some problems brewing.

EDIT- just got another Scheduler request failure; HTTP service unavailable.
and now another Scheduler failure; HTTP internal server error.

What was brewing may now be coming to the boil.

Looking at the network traffic, what has been between 150-200Mbs has now dropped to 77Mb/s- and there are still AP WUs being split.

Just got a successful response from the Scheduler, but even though I was reporting work, it think's I've reached my serverside limit?
It may not be dead yet, but it is dying.

Hi Folks,
I've completed several WU and uploaded them BUT nothing is showing in my task pending or valid.

Servers are still showing yesterdays WU count etc.

Hi Sten-Arne,
Those all show 24th, its now 25th at my end.. and has been for over 1 hour, those tasks were showing yesterday when I closed down at about 20:00hrs
and are still showing the same tasks even though I've uploaded several tasks, which should be showing up in pending. Even if servers are running 7 hrs behind me.

Hi Sten-Arne,
I'm running GMT+1:-) So servers are 1 hr behind, Berkeley is 7 hrs:-) I stand corrected.

You found some then, great:-) However BOINC's stats page shows absolutely nothing for S@H whereas my other project is showing current stats ok in BOINC and having just had a look on other stats sites, S@H is showing zero progress
on my stats..

Summats up,
Just looked at statistics_setihame.berkeley.edu.xml
and its showing one small patch of entries, the other projects showing loads
of stats and increments..

Cliff,

Hi Sten_Arne,

Yup, mine too, suddenly showed a massive upward surge from zero to correct.

[edit] I'm going to shut my rig down and change the video card my monitor is connected to, my older card is showing lower temps and usage then my 970, hoping
the change will prevent any glitches Regards,

Just had another look at my logs & now the Scheduler errors are no longer happening, and responses are coming in 4-6 seconds (not the minute or more when the errors were occurring).

Thanks to both of you, I'm thinking the installer is prioritizing the sse2 threads preventing fetch of GPU WU's. I'm going to run down the tasks in both machines and re-run the Lunatics installer not selecting anything but nvidia parameters.

By the way, I apologize if this subject is more germane to another board.

again, thanks dg

After re-installing BOINC and the v0.43 lunatics installer set to AVX on CPU settings and Enable Astropulse on GPU (NV)and Enable Multibeam on GPU (nv cuda)
cuda 50 to match the GTX 660 the box is happily running 11 threads again.

:) Productive again!

Is that why I can't get to the page to download the BOINC software? I just installed Linux (first time I have use the product in I guess it must be 20 years). I was so looking forward to running SETI on it tonight. Oh well maybe tomorrow.

Cricket just took a huge dive. Expect snow, hail, and thunderstorms.

EDIT: And then it recovered soon after.

The techs need to stop tripping over those loose network cables.

And the BOINC dev boards are down.
