I'm afraid there is some serious stuff going on here. I've just discovered there are numerous tasks already posted in the online results while the same task is still being displayed in my BOINC Manager as Ready to report. The Event Log on this machine hasn't reported a successful Update all night, yet there are results online from just a few minutes ago.
Last contact listed as 22 Oct 2014, 2:53:56 UTC yet a task listed as Received 22 Oct 2014, 6:00:45 UTC
It appears there are around 24 completed tasks still in my Manager that are already listed on the Web.
Strange Shit....

The sense I'm getting is that if there's only a small number of tasks to report, they go through fine, but if there's a large quantity, they appear to fail. However, I'd almost bet that some of those are actually getting reported even though it doesn't look like any of them are. The scheduler appears to take an all or nothing approach when it comes to clearing the queue. My #1 cruncher finally managed to report 184 tasks about an hour and a half ago, but now the backlog is building up again. Still haven't received any new work, though.

Set the Boinc Manager to NNT and report manually.

It worked for me 10 minutes ago.

That seems to have cleared all the Ready to reports. However, I'm still not receiving any response to the Update. The Log just says;

My i5 3570K has about 16hrs of CPU work yet to do before requiring to hit Rosetta@home up.

My i5 2500K has about 20hrs of CPU work before it'll do the same.

I'll worry about them in the morning.

Cheers.

There's been a bit of life for download traffic, but MB Ready to send is still flat lined, and "Project has no tasks available" still the response to work requests.

And going to the account page is still slow, and it's still not possible to view any tasks.

Seems OK here must be intermittent, just viewed all my task pages and had a look at a few random results.

PS I can also view your tasks.

I can access my account page and task list OK, just slowly.

But looking at, for example, WU 1621422264, both replications have been returned (about 8 hours ago, in my case), but there's no sign of any validator action.

Just managed to get a look at my results..

AP7 shows 3 tasks waiting validation, however when I took a closer look 2 of them had been completed by both me and the wingmen involved, only 1 of the 3 was still waiting on a wingman...

Methinks validation is wonky..

Well, one of my machines finally managed to connect. It downloaded 4 task just a little while ago. I manually updated and got another 71 so I hope they figured out what the problem was and how to fix it. I'll check my other equipment once I can get other there. Fingers crossed

Yeah, one of my new 20-core machines ran out and the other was on its last WU when the first got 98 new tasks and the second got 38.

Have I missed something?

After installing Lunatics rev0.43 installer, both my I7 4770 machines are only receiving and processing AP7 sse2 tasks for cpu. No WU's have been received for my GPU. Both machines are running Nvidia cards (GTX 660 and GTX 750ti). On AP6 I was able to run 11 processing threads but only 8 on AP7. I manually edited the app.info.xml <count>1</count> to <count>0.33</count> which worked under AP6. I am sure I checked the right Nvidia boxes during install.

So again, have I missed something?

Maybe,
The installer replaces any existing ap_info.xml with one of its own, you will need to re-modify the ap_info.xml to your parameters.

Regards,

OR just use an app_config.xml to set your number of tasks per GPU so you don't have to mess with your app_info.xml & your settings don't get changed when you rerun the installer.

Thanks to both of you, I'm thinking the installer is prioritizing the sse2 threads preventing fetch of GPU WU's. I'm going to run down the tasks in both machines and re-run the Lunatics installer not selecting anything but nvidia parameters.

By the way, I apologize if this subject is more germane to another board.

again, thanks dg

Anyone else experience a slow down of the servers? I managed to report, after a few of these:

563 SETI@home 2014-10-24 03:42 Reporting 1 completed tasks, requesting new tasks for CPU and GPU
564 2014-10-24 03:42 Project communication failed: attempting access to reference site
565 SETI@home 2014-10-24 03:42 Scheduler request failed: Couldn't connect to server
566 2014-10-24 03:42 Internet access OK - project servers may be temporarily down.

Looking over the longs on my 6 home boxen & my Android. I don't see any connection issues for the the past 5 hours other than my one notebook that drops its wifi connection sometimes.
