I have a new notebook and all is working just fine, except I do not want to use the BOINC screen saver. How do I shut that off on this touch screen computer.

Turn it off in the same way you would any other screen saver - from the windows desk top: right click, personalize, screen saver, set to "none" (or the screen saver you want to use)
