I'm in the middle of installing Lunatics .43 and for MB GPU, it set itself to cuda 32. My card is a GT 440. Isn't that capable of cuda 42?

Also, I decided to check what driver I had (in case that was what it was worried about). I have 334.89. Nvidia is offering me 344.11, which I don't think I've seen anyone mention here (unless my memory is slipping, but I think all you've been talking about lately is 340.52). Is that one okay to use?

I just went to install it on my other box and it also defaulted to cuda 32, although that one is a GT 630 and should be able to do cuda 50.

David,

When you install Lunatics, you are given the option of which version of Cuda you want installed. It is set to default of 32 but you can click and change it to which ever cuda you want. If you want the cuda 50, reinstall Lunatics and when you get to that page, just click the cuda version you want.

Okay, I thought it would automatically choose the best option. I'll go with what I think they should be.

Which one do you have?

Ah poop. The old one, 96 cores. I guess that means I should reinstall for cuda 42?

I wonder if that has anything to do with it not downloading any AP7s so far. It's slow, but it has gotten at least 13 new MBs since I ran the installer last night.

Okay, if I reinstall for cuda 42, what will happen to the 100 cuda 50 tasks currently on board? (2 running, 98 waiting to run.)

If they are still there then they should process through till done and you should start to get new work units under the cuda version you selected

Yep, the app_info has all the plan classes in it, so nothing will get orphaned.
