Who invented the term "Political Correctness"?
I call it oppression!

Exactly! It was invented by the right wing to silence people who called for respect and equality. The term is definitely oppression and should be seen for what it is.

The term "Political Correctness" seems old:)
An example is James Wilson's post in the US Republic in 1793:
The states, rather than the people, for whose sake the states exist, are frequently the objects which attract and arrest our principal attention... Sentiments and expressions of this inaccurate kind prevail in our common, even in our convivial, language... ‘The United States,’ instead of the ‘People of the United States,’ is the toast given. This is not politically correct.

Wikipedia actually has quite a good section on the term: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_correctness

I have read that.
The Swedish version is a bit different:)
For instance this qoute.
Dagens Nyheter's former editorial writer Niklas Ekdal named "Politically Correct" to be the year 2006 primary invective.
15 years ago, this is a favorite, most often hurled from the right. 'Politically Incorrect' has become a form of praise in our allegedly trapped debate climate, aimed at independent thinking in terms of such negro jokes and blondes. The purpose of the PC-concept is basically to legitimize cynicism; I do not believe in global warming, equality, development, minority rights, social reform, Amnesty International and Doctors Without Borders therefore I am a bit tougher.

I was thinking of putting this in the "Against ALL women" thread but decided as it is the opposite way round and a comment in the text, this is the best place.

Wife spends two nights in cells for hitting husband with magazine

Last week Mrs Clark was admonished at Dundee Sheriff Court after admitting striking her husband with the magazine to his injury on July 20.

Her solicitor William Boyle said: "Either the law or those applying the law have gone mad."

He added: "I have defended women from domestic violence for 40 years. It is an appalling crime.

"But either the law or those applying the law have gone mad. It's like Alice in Wonderland and this politically-correct madness must stop."

Right Wing Islam or Christianity committed this Barbarism?

Let's not equate the two.

Those that do: ARE part of the problem.

And added: Europe will not stand up as one, and fight this, before Islam (and this time radical salafist Islam) once again stands in Andalucia and outside the gates of Vienna. Mark my words.

"Dark skinned"

This phrase describes me to a turn in the summer sun. With liver
concerns, dark reddish brown skin is part of the experience.
I must say I never felt different from when I have very white
skin in the winter. Even my liver complaints lessen in the summer!
Bilirubin builds up in the skin, and interestingly sun light fights
this side effect of a bad liver. Still I never burn in the sun, so
I can take a lot of rays when I am out side. I dear say that any
time I hear a comment or two about my colour, my reputation around
here quashes any of that kind of blather quickly.
There are lots of begets in the world, even in here and they are not
dumb ass types. They are human beings with all the intellect and powers
of persuasion that any human has: Missguided, but still human.
