After far to many screws (gee I hate laptops) and removing half a cat in the process the last patient is finally alive (I originally had my doubts about it). :-)

What really gets me is why some people just have to let their cats use their laptops as beds.

Oh well I'd better get back to seeing if all the software is ok before letting the thing do however many updates that it's missed out on.

Cheers.

My laptop is really old but the main thing I use it for is midi music with my keyboard which works fine. If it craps out I don't think it can be fixed. :(

It's and old think pad "I" 800 MHZ and the battery will noy hold a charge anymore. I must have had it now about 15 to 18 years?

Well I best call it a day, the local Vampire will be here at day break.:(
Cheers everybody

Well the software was fine so after a disk clean up & defrag I finally let it connect to the internet, looks like it'll be updating for a while now.

So now I'll just sit back and enjoy Rum O'clock. ;-)

The only thing with a laptop that old Grant is that the thing will have an IDE HDD in it and trying to find 1 of those is next to impossible here these days, plus the amount of system memory is usually another hurdle to get over, for old 1's like that I find it easier just to install some lite flavour of Linux onto them (yes you did read that right, I do play around with Linux here at times and not only just Windows, when these occasions arise).

[edit] And g'day to you young Julie.

Cheers.

How do they get peanut butter inside a pretzel nugget? I don't understand. This is my baffling question of the day.

G'morning everyone, as I watch a fog bank move down along the river behind all the activity on the oval getting ready for the wool & scarecrow festival which starts here tomorrow.

Beer O'clock in 5hrs.

G'day Mike, sounds like you need a beer.

Well all 3 laptops can now go back to their owners today and I can have a nice clear workbench again.

3hrs until Beer O'clock.

Cheers.
