Naw, forget about cannabis & smoking, there's an even "bigger" problem to worry about...

Obesity costing the same as smoking

Just make the doors to fast food outlets narrow, then the problem becomes self-limiting.

The most common way to assess if a person is obese is to check their body mass index (BMI), which divides your weight in kilograms by your height in metres squared.

I have a problem with that measurement. I'm quite muscular, years of kayaking and other sporting stuff has seen to that. Muscle is much denser than fat, as a result i weigh 255 pounds (18 stone 3, or 115 kg). I'm 6'2" tall (188 cm), giving me a BMI of 32.5 which according to the article makes me obese, which i'm not.

But they can't close down the pizza shops if they legalise pot. Nut and berries just don't have the flavour hit you need when you're "medicated" ;)

Back in the late 70's. The USAF instituted a program that told all of us we had to be physically fit. Tey had yearly tests for exercises and we had to run a mile and a half in under 15 minutes. They also had the body mass idex B.S.
A guy I was stationed with was almost kick out because of his being over the limit. The guy was a wieght lifter. He had arms and legs like tree trunks. And abs that were awesome. He actually had to fight to stay in the sevice.
I think if commom sense would have been used instead of the by the book idiots who are completey lost if its not in the book. He wouldnt have had to put up with all the BS.
But this was back in the 70's. Sounds like things are still run by the book idiots.

Lets just put is totally correct

Drivers in England will be banned from smoking in their cars if they are carrying children as passengers.

There is a difference very a very small and totally insignificant difference but it is a difference I for one support.

True, but follow it through...

...how long before it becomes a blanket ban?

You know it's going to come.

No need for anyone to support it, it'll become law on 1/10/15. Another practically unenforceable law on the books.

Time we had enforceable laws & the people to enforce them...

...Oh wait, wouldn't that be the police &/or the health & safety guru's?

Probably not long, I have heard questions about the subject from people who visit homes, like utility meter readers, equipment installers/fixers for BT/Virgin/Sky and especially from "home helps" and health care workers.

I believe Simonator blew a hole in that argument! Smokers cost the NHS £2 billion a year, maybe BUT £12 Billion a year is raked in from them...

...you really need to do that economics course :-)

And there were independent figures to back that up.

The Simonator...

Can I use the above? (Changing The University Name)

Sometimes, I do get personal in my response to personal attacks (my bad).

"argue the point not the person" will be, I hope, my response to personal attacks by...

Only if you use it correctly...
