I just install a dual xeon machine (Intel(R) Xeon(R) CPU E5-2630 v2 @ 2.60GHz).
The Cpu has 6 cores ( 12 Threads ).

The problem is that BOINC Manager find one CPU with 24 Threads, instead of two CPU’s with 12 Threads.

Is this normal?

Yes. It reports the total number of cores/threads: it doesn't care how they're packaged. A hyperthreaded core capable of running two threads is reported as two CPUs.

Thanks.

I thought I will get 1K tasks, but since the limit is 900…

Yeah, unfortunately multi socket CPU systems are not detected at this time.
