Suggestion from the Cafe: perhaps we should ask him to move the 'green star' donor badge down alongside the country flag and the 'contribution' badge.

What say you, while he's got his toolbox open?

OK, I've passed it on, but not unconditionally:

Just before we leave this subject for good, and while the code is still fresh in everybody's minds, there's a suggestion from the user community.

In the specific case of SETI, it might make sense and look good to take the premise which started all this off - "show badges at bottom of forum-post box" - and place the 'green star' donor badge there, in-line with the country flag and the 'contribution' badge.

However, in passing on that suggestion, I'm conscious that very few projects display country flags, and at some projects the 'donor' badge is proportionately much larger than SETI's - so it might not work so well in generic BOINC code.

I'm not sure if this is a server having a huffy fit, or an issue with some "new" code, but I've noticed this message has crept onto the top of a number "Account" pages (first spotted when I went to do a check on the health of my crunchers):

Notice: Use of undefined constant MYSQLI - assumed 'MYSQLI' in /disks/carolyn/b/home/boincadm/projects/sah/html/inc/db.inc on line 28

I saw that too. What is it??? I do not know. So I am making note of it here and hoping it is just a passing "What is that in the sky?" thing and no camera to take a picture of it. LOL.

Now that green star. At first I was thinking it was a member was "online" symbol. I agree that it should be a bit less stand out please.

Well...I'm not sure why someone keeps adding data to the Splitters, but, they need to STOP. It's already up to 'total channels to do': MB 824 : AP 503. When you do that there are LONG periods between AP downloads.
Please Stop adding data to the Splitters.

I thought they were trying to stuff all of the remaining '08 and '09 data in at once.
That or they know they data loaded will generate a ton of MB shorties. In which case we could possibly burn thought BM before AP.

One of the things they taught me in Navy Electronics school is when troubleshooting, only change one thing at a time. Trying to change/fix several things at once usually makes the problem worse. Fix the goofy page fonts and mysql error messages first, then think about moving the Green stars.

Never happen. What will happen is all the APs will be burnt through while leaving a ton of MBs. Then my Mac will sit there for a week without any GPU work. Not nice.

This doesn't bode well for seeing AP_v7 anytime soon either. Why release AP_v7 when there are 511 AP channels loaded...not good at all :-(

Looks like they have fixed the fonts and mySQL errors. Maybe time to sit back and see if any other glitches surface before trying to change anything else....

Aren't they not yet fixed. ?!
Can the splitters overflow? Is this an AstroPulse issue or also MB work
And I run several other projects . Getting work isn't an issue ;^)) .

I'm working on a second computer, then a third . which has to be more power ful as the PC I now use so a 20core XENON. and 4 High End GPU's f.i.that will solve that %^) . . .it can be even become an addiction, a way of live .(I"m also an Oxycontin/HydroMorfone (Palladon 1 -2 and 4mG tablets user, these are powerfull narcotics but great pain killers).

Where were we, splitter problems, appears to have no end unfortunelly .
