I think that I lost 3kgs just in sweat today. :-(

Cheers.

Well 3 liters of beer should restore you.

And thank you Julie.

Ok I've been able to lose another 4lbs(about 1.81Kg), somewhere, I'm down to 374lbs, from 378, watch Me gain part or all of that back after Thanksgiving, but I should lose that once again...

Yay Monday!!! Yay Vic!!!

I am "up" again at 169.8 lbs, but I'm not worried about it. I had a bowl of delicious salty popcorn last night. It was air popped, but I did add butter so that all the yummy salt would stick.

Well done Vic. :-)

Hang in there Angela. It isn't getting any easier and I struggle with the comfort food and cravings for rich food.

Well done Vic. :-)

Hang in there Angela. It isn't getting any easier and I struggle with the comfort food and cravings for rich food.

Comfort foods, I could take a pic of all the tubs of ice cream that I've bought in the last year...

I have 31 tubs w/lids, why do I still have them? Simple they're plastic and they can be recycled...

Thanks Julie, Angela and Monday...

Hi there

Just stumbled on this thread.
I truly wish everyone's weight loss efforts are met with success.

I kicked myself in the butt mid-july this year and shed 30+ lbs since. I've been under 200 lbs for two whole weeks now. Final goal is maintaining at 190 lbs but there is much more to it than what the scales say.

Losing weight is hard work but the rewards are worth the effort, and the process (it *is* a process, not an end result) can yield so many other benefits !

Hang in there !

Claims that processed grains are the root of all evil. But I heard someone on the radio the other day saying that while that's true, this is absolutely the wrong answer, we were not intended to be meat eaters and should only eat raw seeds and such. (To which I say bleah.)

Our eyes are on the front of our heads like the other carnivours, herbivours have their eyes on the side of their heads. So I'm sticking with the meat

Well said. I'm a "Omnivore". Meat and salad. And what ever targets of opportunity present themselves.

Thanks Monday !
Keep the goal in sight but no obsessing 'kay ? :)

I see lots of talk about diets. Specific calls of "eat this, don't eat that" and so forth. 'Bleah' indeed. Bleah I say !

Diets do work. But they do not work because of what you eat/do not eat while following them. They work because they are thought-out, calculated, nutrition plans that were purpose-built with a specific goal in mind.

Think about it.

You could base a complete 'diet' on carrots and oatmeal and lose weight...or bulk up. The foodstuffs themselves are unimportant (but you must get all necessary nutrients to stay healthy).

Be very weary of people telling you what you must/must not eat...or do... or think.

Food is fuel, food is fun and pleasure.

How are you all eating right now ? Do you have a plan ? I have one. Made it meself to suit me and me life. It includes hamburgers, pie and ice cream !

So far I haven't grown any gills, but then who ever heard of a herbivorous fish?

Fishsticks and veggies, eggs and sausage, pb&j on wheat bread or bologna on wheat bread with lite mayo, that in a nutshell is what I eat most of the time, sometimes I might add pancakes or pizza or spaghetti or even more rare, meatloaf...

I' losing weight because I lost 4 teeth during a Magnetic Resonance scan and I can eat only fluids. The teeth were linked together by some metal, and I could not remove them for the scan. Now the dentist must extract what is is left of them and give me a replacement of teeth or all upper mandible.

One always has to learn something new. Nobody warned me about this adverse effect of NMR. Thanks for the sympathy.
