Yep. I have a terrific vegetarian chili recipe. The problem is that it gets served with toppers like grated cheese and sour cream and served with a side of cornbread.

Ah yes. Cornbread. Love it! Never thought of it as especially bad for you, but it's a carb, I guess.

My favorite recipe for cornbread involves a cup of sour cream and several tablespoons of melted butter.

I have vague memories of this. Did you feed us this in between drinks?

I've had some meatless chili that was pretty good, but being a confirmed omnivore, I make my chili with either ground beef or Italian sausage (or both) and bacon.

Pudgy Little Raccoon Weigh-In: 168.8

My scale must be broken. It seems to be moving in the wrong direction. I'm sure it is the scale and not the family party at our house Friday night, the junk food I ate at the Cal football game Saturday afternoon and the family party at my Cousin Anna's house on Sunday. Yep. It is definitely the scale.

Just do it like my wife.
Every time she is mad at the scale she buys a new one.

So did Mine, I gained according to the scale 19lbs, but the good news is I lost 5lbs of that, so I just need to lose 14lbs to be back at 365lbs, the eggs and sausage tasted good today. Now for some more coffee...

Monday weigh in:

The scales are broken, I think I may have dropped
a box of Girl Guide cookies on them.
251 pounds, a gain. Now I have to wait for the
verdict on the effects of todays Thanks Giving
Turkey.

My rule is if the batteries last over a year, I stay away from rechargeable and if they last only a few months, they are rechargeable. As the result, the main computer mouse and keyboard use rechargeable and the laptop uses alkaline. When my roommate developed diabetes and we needed to monitor her weight closely, I got one of these so no battery and I can't blame the scale.
