Crack this egg with most caution.
Egg puns are an eggstremely important part of Eggnostic belief, and those who mock them should be eggscommunicated. They should be given no chance to eggsplain themselves; mocking an egg pun is ineggscusable behavior

Breakfast, at the local coffee-shop... time to shell out a few dollars,
grab a cup & sticky, and then seriously consider doing this year's income tax
(groan).

Sorry, Chris. Grab a cup of coffee, and a pastry, such as a glazed donut
(a "crumbly" would be a muffin, or the like). These terms I may have originated, but nobody (over here) that I know has had any doubts of what they meant. Feel free to lay on us Yanks your own colorful terms for coffee-house fare.

In Starbucks, where I frequent, in the mornings, are people from all over the
world (I don't really know why -- it isn't a place out of the ordinary, nor is
its location -- go figure.). I enjoy swapping idioms with them, whether they
are from Armenia, Turkey, or Bulgaria -- not to mention the British Isles/Continent.

Oh, dear. Am afraid the last pun was a bit of a newt, to me. Explanation,
please?

I am thinking there must be many more permutations
to the concept of small than I have been aware of....

Thanks, Celt. Am on board, now. I think I'll go and grab a few
fig-newtons and coffee.

There is a pub in Hopkinton (MA) which is called The Sticky Wicket.
The New Black Eagle Jazz Band used to headquarter, there. I don't know where
they are, now, but they were good (I have two CD's of their music.

They gave at least one Boston performance in the auditorium of the Boston
Public Library, which the old lady and I attended. Again, they were great.

Thanks, Celt! It's interesting to note that those guys do not play music
as their primary profession -- they are all engineers in high tech. They've
competed in Europe, in the past, and won a bunch of awards.

Oh, well. . . onward to sweet Georgia puns.

Sweet Georgia Brown. I think we're straying from punning, so shall scratch
the head, a bit. . .

Chris -- Thanks, for the update. I'll pass it on. Bald-eagles? Please.
I'm as old as they, and have most of my hair, albeit on the white side.

I will admit, however, that -- hair today, gone tomorrow, is still a
valid cliché.
