I have recently installed SETI on my MacBook Pro - OS X 10.9.4, with 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5. The graphics appear as soon as the screen saver turns on, however only for a split second, three or four times. Then there's a BOINC message across the entire screen saying "Computing suspended because processor usage is high". I can't really imagine that to be true, since the only running programs are my mail-program and three or four word documents. I am a total computer-illiterate, and I feel a little stupid asking that question - but does anybody have an explanation and a solution to this problem?

Thank you very much - macsoja

That preference is set to 25%, so almost any app can trigger it.

Try changing it to 50% and see if that allow you to do work.
