A lot of thoughts comes to mind.
Who define art and its quality?
You can not live without Art and Culture.

Art is what You make of it.

Do you also mean that Culture is out of the Picture?
If so i'm lost.

Art can be confusing but yet so real and present at the time it's supposed to be present:)

Thanks. Now I can sleep well tonight:)

Hope you slept well Janne:)

The only thing that I consider as art here is the music folder that I have.

What hangs on my walls are pictures, not art.

Cheers.

A point of view

Interesting...

..is art meant to shock or make one ponder?

Bringing back an old topic, but I saw these in my home town today and wondered what the "art critics" at SETI thought;

First a bit of background, look here Year of the Bus

Transport for London are celebrating "The Year of The Bus" with events, one of them is described:

"Presented in partnership with Wild in Art, the Year of the Bus Sculpture Trails have brought businesses and artists together to create a series of free and accessible public art sculpture trails across London until 11 January 2015."

These are the ones I found in Croydon, all have a plaque:

Which explains what they are. Here the "Magic Carpet Bus"

Here is the "Surrey Street Market Bus" (Surrey Street market dates back to 1276).

The "Poppy Party Bus"

And the "Moquette Bus"

So what do the gathered minds of SETI think, art or bus shaped bits of wood?

Advertising and fund raising in the disguise of art . Someone made a heap of cash for putting woollen coats on blocks of wood in the shape of a bus . Realy people would you display it at your house if you owned one .
