Lovely to see you too Julie :) and Wiggo :) and Gordon and Mike and everyone else who pops in too :)

Well, been up about 90 minutes so far and it's looking good folks! Annie's tip of the day... Why not give your day a little ZING!? Have a slice of coffee cake for breakfast and make sure to use a knife that was last used on both an onion and a clove of garlic... This WILL result in a major BLEUCH BLEUCH moment but will ensure a wider than average personal space possibly for as much as 48 hours :)

The coffee cake sounded good until the knife incident. In fact, the coffee cake sounds really good right now. Actually, a spice cake with caramel frosting sounds even better, but I don't have access to such a treat at the moment.

Annie, I hope you have a very nice day!

Cheers all.

Today i`ve cleaned 45 bottles for my brew.
I guess in one or 2 days it should be ready for bottling.

G'morning everyone, anyone heard from Grant lately?

Ah, 2 mornings in a row now with the yeast farts adding their aroma to my back rooms.

Beer O'clock in 4.5hrs.

Cheers.

Guess where I went today!

Haven't tried it yet

I decided to give the Royal Choice Single Malt at £150 a bottle a miss this time.

Nick Cave meant beer with this song:) Cheers!

Opium Tea

Here I sleep the morning through
'Til the wail of the call to prayer awakes me
And there ain't nothing at all to do but rise and follow
The day wherever it takes me

I stand at the window and I look at the sea
And I am what I am, and what will be will be
I stand at the window and I look at the sea
And I make me a pot of opium tea

Down at the port I watch the boats come in
Watch the boats come in can do something to you
And the kids gather around with an outstretched hand
And I toss them a dirham or two

Well, I wonder if my children are thinking of me
Cause I am what I am, and what will be will be
I wonder if my kids are thinking of me
And I smile and I sip my opium tea

At night the sea lashes the rust red ramparts
And the shapes of hooded men who pass me
And the moan of the wind laughs and laughs and laughs
The strange luck that fate has cast me

Well, the cats on the rampart sing merrily
That he is what he is and what will be will be
Yeah, the cats on the rampart sing merrily
And I sit and I drink of my opium tea

I'm a prisoner here, I can never go home
There is nothing here to win or lose
There are no choices needed to be made at all
Not even the choice of having to choose

Well, I'm a prisoner here, yes, but I'm also free
Cause I am what I am and what will be will be
I'm a prisoner here, yeah, but I'm also free
And I smile and I sip my opium tea.

We dont have so many songs with beers in our country. Maybe "Hej tomtegubbar".
Snaps however.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wjcGAKU23Qc
Helan går, sjung hopp farellallan lallan lej.
Helan går, sjung hopp farellallan lej.
Och den som inte helan tar, han heller inte halvan får.
Helan går... (DRINK) sjung hopp farellallan lej.

Its mandatory to sing when you drink snaps when eating at a smörgåsbord or crayfish party.

Skål.
