How to cheer in Sweden. It's all in the Eyes. Nice, thanks janne. :~) The only company I usually have when I'm drinking is my rabbits. Of course they don't partake, but we have our own quiet manners. ;~} Lots more toasting etiquette here The mind is a weird and mysterious place |

G'morning everyone, though there's not much of the morning left here. Hello Wiggo. How do you make sure the brew is ready for bottling ? Have a good one. Cheers :)) With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

G'morning everyone, though there's not much of the morning left here. Using a beer/wine hydrometer will be the best way to tell when the process has finish Mike (all details in the link). ;-) Cheers. |

Hello Wiggo. A hydrometer is the best method. But a simpler way is just to watch for when the bubbles stop passing through the airlock. When it has been still for a couple of days one can be fairly sure fermentation is finished. Life on earth is the global equivalent of not storing things in the fridge. |

G'morning everyone, though there's not much of the morning left here. It might be a little late for this brew. I`ve hear you can bottle when the bubble stops. Or as soon the brew doesn`t taste sweet anymore. Any other hints ? With each crime and every kindness we birth our future. |

Mike, if the temp has stayed constant and in the zone then yes as soon as it's stopped bubbling it will be ready. If you get a temp drop during brewing that will also cause the airlock to stop bubbling (but it won't be ready). Also it's only the final reading of the hydrometer that you need (it's only if you want to work out the alcohol content that you need to test at the beginning as well). Well g'morning everyone. Well my luck for some quiet days seems to have run out. :-( But a person never knows when it'll be topped up again and today maybe the day. ;-) I must also remember to seal that spirit wash I put down yesterday too (it certainly has the back rooms in my shed smelling good). Beer O'clock in 4.5hrs. Cheers. |

Good morning Wiggo. Yes the room has constant temp between 21°C and 22°C which should be fine for this yeast. My question is, is it better to wait another day after it stopped bubbling or should i start bottling imediately. I hope you find some time for your self. So long as you don't break the seal you'll be ok for a couple of days. ;-) Cheers. |
