I'd not paid attention for the last couple of weeks, but since about August 18, my RAC has dropped from a high of about 13400 to now about 12600. All seems well with my PC and BOINC, nothing has changed. Running 2 GPU tasks with 3 CPU. I had had a gold badge for the longest time, now have a silver. I think the 13400 last month was a peak of maybe lucky draws of AP work. Not looking to fix anything; was just curious if I had missed anything in SETI world while I wasn't paying attention. |

All seems well with my PC and BOINC, nothing has changed. Running 2 GPU tasks with 3 CPU. Probably just one of those things ;-) My RAC drops 200-250 overnight when the pc is off, with a forthcoming holiday, it's likely ro drop around 5000. But since 8am this morning, (it's now pushing 1pm) it's managed to claw back just 2 from last night.Makes you wonder ;-) |

Was thinking that it was just my luck in drawing certain types of work, but was surprised about the drop, which continues today. I crunch 24x7. |

Was thinking that it was just my luck in drawing certain types of work, but was surprised about the drop, which continues today. From your initially stated RAC value it has only changed about 8%. Between the variable work, wing mate reporting(or lack there of), & the random number generator CreditNew having RAC fluctuate 30% is pretty normal. I crunch MB only, and after 6 weeks of falling RAC, there has finally been a slight bump. Most likely just a dead cat bounce, before it continues falling. Grant Darwin NT |

I crunch MB only, and after 6 weeks of falling RAC, there has finally been a slight bump. Most likely just a dead cat bounce, before it continues falling. That is odd. My MB only machines have been rising over that period and are now at their highest RAC they have seen in the past year. Like on my host 6727898. I figured it was due to tasks being more quickly validated with the data centers pumping out a large percentage of work. Yeah, I know! As I had said, I don't pay a lot of attention to the crunching. Was just a little dismayed at the solid downward trend for several weeks. But, there is hope! I just got a little uptick tonight. Like you said, maybe some wingmen finally are validating older tasks. And I seem to have caught a few AP tasks in the last day. Maybe I had a drought of them foe a while.... |
