Ok I broke. It is not a pasta cutter.
It is a "Lattice Pastry Cutter".

I think some of the pictures are solved by internet searches made possible by not taking an original picture.
On the other hand, many of us have had years of working with odd ball stuff so you are up against experts and you need to remember that when selecting a picture.

Ouuuuu, I resemble that! What I do is strip the image as
best I can, then I post it clean from my server place.
Still you are correct, in a whole world there are some
amazing people out there.

I do the same. While use of image search tools is prohibited by the rules I still take and modifiy the picture. I strip the background, add in random pixels and try to fool tin eye. Only when that works will I post it.

Well lets see how long this tool can remain unnamed.

tin eye

I love it!

Edit:

I have to finish up the other contest before I
try to test the calibre of this new image.

Here are the rules:

1. The previous winner posts a picture of some sort of tool.
2. Other people guess what it is. The poster tells them if they're right or wrong, with any other comments he/she sees fit.
3. After no new guesses have been made for a couple of days, the poster should provide a hint.
4. If there is still no correct answer given, the poster may declare the panel stumped, give the answer, and post another picture.
5. Whoever posts the correct answer is the winner and posts the next tool. Go back to 1.

New rule "that a winner, if they do not run the next stage declines and the game is open to any one who wants to play."

There used to be a rule in here about not using tin eye or its ilk. It is probably needed.

Is it a sheet metal tool?

Is it for punching a hole in the edge of sheet metal?

clareification:

I never use Tin eye,
I am not sure how,
why use a program if
you know what you are looking at?

:
Gotta get ready to go out,
on the way back I'll try
to track this one down.

The market for this tool was fairly small, so it is a fairly rare tool.

Is it something that's used to spread something apart?

Cheers.
