No. It is not motorized. It would then weigh to much to take it with them.

You have the purpose of the tool.

Now we need a name.

I was weak. Everyone hinting, but no one saying what it was. Ok here is some payback. I will be very surprised if this one is identified any time soon.

I was thinking hand cranked grinder. Possibly for sharpening tools or knives.

You guys are just amazing. Spark.... run of the mill...... I was certain that this one would really take some time. But you got it. Question is who do I call out as the winner. The tool is a hand cranked tool for sharpening. It's proper name is a Steel Mill. So Sten you almost named it and clearly you know it's used for sharpening drilling tools. But it was the Admiral that identified it as a hand cranked grinder for sharpening tools. So Admiral I am calling you the winner this time.
PM in transit.

Ok, double WoW. The place I took the picture from identified it as a sharpening tool. But looking at your sites I see your correct. Anyone have a suggestion out to proceed here? I already passed the flame, albeit for the wrong reason. But the tool has been disclosed. Open to suggestions?
