On this you are quite right.
First of all living in a muslim country doesn't mean you have to be muslim.
It's against the Koran.
Then most of the 'muslims' aren't practising religion.
Third a region called Kurdistan. Its consists of Eastern Syria, Northern Irak and Eastern Turkey.
They are not hostile at all. I have many friends from there (one christian in syria) One went back to northern Irak and opened a Swedish resturant to honor Sweden:)
