Somebody's trying to find out: http://www.fnal.gov/pub/presspass/press_releases/2014/2-D-Hologram-20140826.html "A unique experiment at the U.S. Department of Energy’s Fermi National Accelerator Laboratory called the Holometer has started collecting data that will answer some mind-bending questions about our universe – including whether we live in a hologram." |

I sincerely doubt that they could isolate their interferometers from vibration to get down to the accuracy I think that they need. Perhaps out in space this would make more sense. |

I would classify this theory as being on the fringe right along with the theories claiming we are all just part of a big computer simulation. Bob DeWoody My motto: Never do today what you can put off until tomorrow as it may not be required. This no longer applies in light of current events. |

Maybe they will detect gravitational waves now that the LIGO interferometers in USA, VIRGO in Italy and GEO600 in Germany are being upgraded. They work in exactly the same way. Tullio I forgot KAGRA in Japan. It should be completed within 2015. |

Oh there will be vibrations detected alright but I doubt that they will be quantum or gravitational until they set up in space. We'll see I am convinced that gravitational waves exist. Maybe there will be a big enough SuperNova near enough to us soon. |

The GEO600 scientists have already taken account of quantum fluctuations in their interferometer. So maybe the Fermilab people should contact them. Tullio |

Maybe there will be a big enough SuperNova near enough to us soon. You kidding me William that's the last thing we need a supernova to be close and it's good by world Any thing closer than about 600 light years and it all over mate and even that is too dam close |
