Oscar-winning British film director Richard Attenborough has died at the age of 90, his son has said. Lord Attenborough was one of Britain's leading actors, before becoming a highly successful director. In a career that spanned six decades, he appeared in films including Brighton Rock, World War Two prisoner of war thriller The Great Escape and later in dinosaur blockbuster Jurassic Park. The linked BBC article doesn't mention the role of his which was my favourite, but this one does: The role he found the most personally disturbing was that of murderer John Christie in 10 Rillington Place. Important movie very accurately based on a true story... must-see. R.I.P. Lord Attenborough.
